Empress Ha Rin
Empress Ha Rin was the wife of Emperor Kyobok of Cantha and mother of many children, including Princess Ha-Nui and Prince Hoon. She and most of the Imperial Family were casualties of the Zhaitan Disaster which devastated the northern Canthan shoreline and flooded most of Old Kaineng City.
Biography[edit]
Early years[edit]
Ha Rin married Emperor Kyobok of Cantha and became a member of the Imperial Family of the Empire of the Dragon. The couple had many children, including their youngest son Prince Hoon and their oldest daughter Princess Ha-Nui. The empress had a handmaiden named Lady Mishil. When the Rising of Orr caused the Great Tsunami that hit Cantha in 1729 CC (1219 AE), most of the Imperial Family, along with the royal guard and the servants, were in Raisu Palace at the time and witnessed the flooding of Old Kaineng City first-hand. Kurzick ambassadors Asmund zu Heltzer and Eira zu Heltzer were also in the palace, presumably as prisoners.[1]
Legacy[edit]
Empress Ha Rin and the rest of the tsunami's victims were found dead amidst the rubble in Raisu Palace based on the report of a rescue team headed by Minister Zal and Jimin who had managed to breach into the throne room. Increased Risen activity in the ruins prevented the pair from investigating further. Jimin returned from the ruins visibly shaken.[1][2][3]
