Collect emotional residue to supercharge the southern beacon is a level 80 event during The Road to Heitor. It requires players to collect emotional residues from chests and enemies and deposit them at the Southern Beacon in Astral Ward Camp (note: go stand next to Peitha and Arina and the southern Beacon. The event will show up below the cliff near them). Note there are two residue achievements. One for north and one for south.

Peitha: Wayfinder, it's time we throw open Heitor's gate.

Arina: We're going to use their old defenses against them. Find us at camp, and we'll begin the assault.

Peitha: Before Heitor's barrier, my people moved more freely about Nayos. There was little fear for attack.

Peitha: Aside from the fortress, beacons provided some small security. So little, even paranoid Ignaxious has let them lie dormant.

Arina: Which is good for us. Because Ramses and I did some experimenting.

Peitha: You two are remarkably inventive when you put your horns together.

Arina: The Kryptis are...uneasy. Fearful, even, if you can believe it. Their emotional essence is powerful.

Arina: We are going to feed that energy into the beacons, supercharge them well beyond anything they were ever intended for.

Peitha: These forgotten defenses become the key to Eparch's lock. The irony is nectarous, is it not? Begin.

Arina: Now hunt down as many Kryptis as you can, and gather their essence.

Arina: Bring it back to the beacon; we'll supercharge it and use it against Heitor's gate.

Peitha: I can sense them...stir. Beyond the fog. Eparch shifts, but his movements are...deceptive and calculated.^{[verification requested]}
