Ashmakers are Lowland Kodan storytellers found throughout Lowland Shore sitting by the campfire with a group of Kodan cubs.

- In Autumn's Vale, around a campfire south of Deft Lahar's Abode with Eithine and a group of Kodan Cubs
- Ashmaker: Tonight... Something special for our sky watcher friends.
- Ashmaker: Have any of you heard the story of the bog's heiress?
- Eithine: No, I don't think I have.
- Ashmaker: (clears throat)
- Ashmaker: In the murk, the Bog Queen stirs. Her hands and teeth nip at your fur.
- Ashmaker: Don't let her voice into your thoughts, or else her screams shall make them rot.
- Ashmaker: So plug your ears and clean your paws. Don't let her pick apart your flaws.
- Ashmaker: You draw your spear... She'll hide beneath! Steady now—she'll sense your heat.
- Ashmaker: So long as dead shall fail to rise, that wicked queen bears no surprise.
- Ashmaker: Listen close, don't say a word. Valravn alone know what you heard.
- Ashmaker: Now close your eyes, and she'll be gone. Back to the bog!
- Ashmaker: Just wait for dawn.
- In Harvest Den, around a campfire south of Harvest Plots with Blessed by Waves, Restless Fawn and two other Kodan Cubs
- Ashmaker: My little cubs, who can tell me the story of the Claw that lead his bearkin away from the dragonstorm?
- Restless Fawn: Oh, me! I can!
- Ashmaker: Go ahead, Restless Fawn. Tell us your tale.
- Restless Fawn: Long, long ago, there was a Claw just like ours. He led almost all of the bearkin all by himself!
- Ashmaker: All by himself?
- Restless Fawn: Well, not all by himself. He had the help of his mate, the Voice. He loved her a lot.
- Restless Fawn: But the Claw faced a great challenge, he did. The Elder Dragons woke up, and a big storm came.
- Restless Fawn: The bearkin were all stuck in their caves, and the Claw didn't know what to do. His mate was troubled by something.
- Restless Fawn: And one day, she went missing. But there was also a break in the storm!
- Restless Fawn: Just a quick one! And the Claw had a really tough choice to make: wait for his Voice, or lead his people somewhere safer.
- Blessed by Waves: What did he choose?
- Restless Fawn: The bearkin, of course. He missed his mate so much, but he knew that if they stayed...they might die. So he brought them here.
- Ashmaker: And here we have lived ever since. Wonderful, Restless Fawn. An ashmaker you will be.
- Ashmaker: Some of the bearkin left over time—many went to Orr to follow their...own paths. But many of us stayed.
- Ashmaker: Right here. Tucked away in nature.
