Objective | Location description and hints | Tablet engraving text | |
---|---|---|---|
1 | Westgate: Next to Sage Laural | Sage Laural is at the south end of the rectangular room south of the Westgate. The first tablet is behind her. | This tablet has an engraving that reads: "The Final Speech of the Last Forgotten to the Exalted," transcribed by Bogani the Walker of Vabbi.
|
2 | Legacy Pillars: Southwest | Starting at the Southgate, glide northwest and then northeast along the pillared structure. The tablet is close to the center of the city (southwest of Legacy Pillars). | 2 "The Elder Dragons rise again, and you are called by Glaust to ensure the survival of Tyria. We are entrusting our aspirations for the future with you, the Exalted, our most loyal defenders."
|
3 | Legacy Pillars: Southeast | As above, but head northeast and then northwest from the Southgate. | 3 "You look upon me and see the sunset of our race. I am the last of the Forgotten."
|
4 | Legacy Pillars: Northwest | Head southwest and then southeast from the Northgate along the top of the walled structure. | [sic]"Together, we took the first step toward safeguarding against the six that mean to drain this world completely of its magic."
|
5 | Northgate: Where Water Flows Vertically | Head east from the Northgate to the bridge crossing in front the waterfall. The tablet is behind the waterfall. | 5 "In olden times, when the Dragons stirred, it fell to the Seers to set aside a reservoir of magic for the upcoming drought."
|
6 | Eastgate: Where the Falls End and Nature Begins | Drop down into the water below the Eastgate, and then head south from the top of the river. | 6 "We do not have the divine resources needed to imbue a new Bloodstone with enough magic to prevent Tyria from declining into a state of primitive adversity."
|
7 | Eastgate: A Great View of a Mighty Tree | Start from the Southgate. Head northeast and walk to the tablet just east of the ledge with the foliage. Alternatively glide blindly south from the top of the western arch of the eastgate. Very close to tablet #3. | 7 "Glaust has been known by many names, and even we do not know her true name. She is called Glint in these modern times and she entrusted us with using her legacy for Tyria."
|
8 | Southgate: Tucked Away Southwest | Starting from the Southgate, head down the stairs towards the Westgate, but look for the hidden room on your left halfway there. | 8 "We began our journey among the magical canyons of the Lost Precipice, and when it no longer served us, we moved on."
|
9 | Westgate: The Way Has Decayed Unless You Fly | At the Westgate, head down the northeast ramp. Look towards the center of the city (into the area of the Octovine fight), and glide hugging the right wall. By hugging the right wall you will perform a U-turn which will leave you below the Westgate. The plinth is on a platform just under the arches. | 9 "En route to our final destination, we sheltered in a hollow and performed the exalting rituals, but ultimately, we left there as well. One day, Tarir will no longer serve us, and you will move on."
|
10 | Southgate: Entrance | Directly in front of the Southgate entrance. | 10 "And when we arrived here, you created a city worthy of Glint's pride. Your work here pleased and humbled me and the other Forgotten."
|
11 | Northgate: Entrance | Directly in front of the Northgate entrance. | 11 "We raised this haven at the edge of Mordremoth's jungle, but no Elder Dragon can touch us here. Our magic shields the city from them."
|
12 | Southgate: You'll Only Be Able to Reach This from Very High Up | Southwest of the Westgate entrance, use the bouncing mushrooms to reach the Luminate's Throne, go past the mastery point at the top of the stairs, and prepare to glide to the southwest corner of Tarir. With at least tier 3 gliding mastery, glide hugging the right wall to find a ledge to rest on, high enough to reach the tablet with 2 more glides. If you have tier 5 gliding mastery, you can glide directly to the tablet. It is on a ledge that is lit up by a torch. | 12 "Your friends and families have no less important a charge. The Brotherhood of the Dragon passed its mantle on to them. They are the first guardians of the egg, and only once it nears its time will they deliver it to you."
|
13 | Luminate's Throne: The Jungle Grows Even Up Here | Similar to above, use the bouncing mushrooms to access the Luminate's Throne, then head left at the staircase that leads to the point of interest marker. Foliage hides a hidden tablet room. | 13 "They're calling themselves the Zephyrites after the gentle, ever-moving breeze of their homeland, and none but their inner circle will know their secret mission."
|
14 | Northgate: Where We Lay Our Masks to Rest | Only accessible when the city is preparing defenses; requires Exalted Acceptance. Get teleported to the Fallen Masks adventure by talking to the NPC on the ground level between the Westgate and Northgate. The tablet is at the topmost ledge on the north side of the room. | 14 "Glint's legacy is far more than just her offspring, and you must protect it all."
|
15 | Trial Rooms: Heavy Foliage Hides This One | After the meta event has been completed, drop down into the area beneath the city and head north (through the normally closed door). The tablet is slightly north off the main path in the foliage. | 15 "The legacy's most essential elements will seed the new dawn of civilization. This is the precious treasure we leave in your hands. You must preserve it with no expectation of laurels."
|
16 | Trial Rooms: Glint's Words Guide Us | Drop down into the basement area beneath the city, and then head to the dead end room to the southeast. | 16 "As the last Forgotten, I have come to understand the vastness of history and the ephemeral nature of truth."
|
17 | Inner Chamber: One Day There Will Be Another | This tablet requires completion of the Exalted Markings mastery. In the same room as tablet #16, there is an Exalted Portal to Inner Chamber; once through the portal, interact with the door to gain access to the Inner Chamber. The tablet is on the ground level at the back of the room; if you continue drawing a line from the end of the entry path, it will point exactly to the tablet. | 17 "You do it to ensure that this world you love continues on after you're gone. Glint's dream of a harmonious future can come to pass. Now you carry the torch of her benevolence."

Full Text[edit]
This tablet has an engraving that reads: The Final Speech of the Last Forgotten to the Exalted, transcribed by Bogani the Walker of Vabbi.
You who stand before me are remarkable.
We have tested you by trial, and you have pledged to a cause that will change you forever
The Elder Dragons rise again, and you are called by Glaust to ensure the survival of Tyria.
We are entrusting our aspirations for the future with you, the Exalted, our most loyal defenders.
You look upon me and see the sunset of our race.
I am the last of the Forgotten.
It has been millennia since our true name was last spoken aloud, and soon we will be no more.
No, do not mourn.
We will live on in your work, in your words, and in your battles.
Together, we took the first step toward safeguarding against the six that mean to drain this world completely of its magic.
One day, you alone will take the final step.
The bar of success or failure balances upon your shoulders.
In olden times, when the Dragons stirred, it fell to the Seers to set aside a reservoir of magic for the upcoming drought.
Glaust herself was a defender of civilization, at great risk to herself.
She understood the potentially dire costs of betraying Kralkatorrik, but she put the world's welfare ahead of her own.
We do not have the divine resources needed to imbue a new Bloodstone with enough magic to prevent Tyria from declining into a state of primitive adversity.
And so we allied with Glaust, a magical being of great power, to find a way.
Glaust has been known by many names, and even we do not know her true name.
She is called Glint in these modern times and she entrusted us with using her legacy for Tyria.
We, however, have no guarantee—only hope—that by her legacy we will save Tyria from the desiccation of its magic.
We began our journey among the magical canyons of the Lost Precipice, and when it no longer served us, we moved on.
En route to our final destination, we sheltered in a hollow and performed the exalting rituals, but ultimately, we left there as well.
One day, Tarir will no longer serve us, and you will move on.
Do not fear that day.
When it comes, you will know that your purpose has been fulfilled.
And when we arrived here, you created a city worthy of Glint's pride.
Your work here pleased and humbled me and the other Forgotten.
We raised this haven at the edge of Mordremoth's jungle, but no Elder Dragon can touch us here.
Our magic shields the city from them.
Here you will wait in stasis for the signs, and much time may pass before you awaken to the call.
Your friends and families have no less important a charge.
The Brotherhood of the Dragon passed its mantle on to them.
They are the first guardians of the egg, and only once it nears its time will they deliver it to you.
They're calling themselves the Zephyrites after the gentle, ever-moving breeze of their homeland, and none but their inner circle will know their secret mission.
It may be generations before you are reunited with their descendants, but they are committed.
Glint's legacy is far more than just her offspring, and you must protect it all.
The legacy's potential will only be realized in the fullness of time when all its pieces have developed and become defined in response to the world around them.
The legacy's most essential elements will seed the new dawn of civilization.
This is the precious treasure we leave in your hands.
You must preserve it with no expectation of laurels.
You too will be forgotten once your duty is done.
As the last Forgotten, I have come to understand the vastness of history and the ephemeral nature of truth.
Stories of your deeds will warp in retelling.
But,[sic] you do not do this to leave your mark.
You do it to ensure that this world you love continues on after you're gone.
Glint's dream of a harmonious future can come to pass.
Now you carry the torch of her benevolence.
Notes[edit]
- The Auric Viewer must be in your inventory when interacting with tablets to progress the achievement.
- Gliding, Bouncing Mushrooms, Exalted Acceptance, and Exalted Markings are required to access all the tablet locations.
- The fifth tablet originally read "Glaust herself was a defender of civilization, at great risk to herself, and Kralkatorrik understood the depth of her betrayal and killed her for it," which conflicted with the fact that the last Forgotten's speech had taken place before Glint's death. The discrepancy was noted, and the text was changed in one of the patches in 2016.[1]
Trivia[edit]
- The name of this achievement is a reference to the Sherlock Holmes story, A Study in Scarlet.
