User talk:Venom20/sample skill page1

This will serve as a centralized discussion page for all of my designs. These last 4 designs mentioned are the same, but the colours vary according to profession. The colours are not finalized, these just happen to be the last selection that I proposed. While I hope that the colours can be commented on as well, this would probably be a better page for it. This skill page design uses Loquay's design for the infobox. Venom20 16:47, 22 September 2010 (UTC)
- Well...
- I don't like the italicized text. I think common text would work better for the skill description.
- I'm also not fond of the skill tier table. It looks ugly, IMO; I would rather find a different way to convey that kind of information, such as a section in the articles.
- As mentioned somewhere else, I don't like the skill navbox.
- I'm a bit indiferent between both skill box designs. Venom's design currently leaves a lot of white space, but that's probably just because the articles are still almost empty.
- I would like to see a Traits section at the articles, listing the traits which apply to a given skill. Not the more general traits (Superior Intelligence affects all spells, but that's too general), rather the more specific ones (such as the Deadly Life Blast being mentioned at the Life Blast article), stating the trait's name and a one line description.

- imo, the skills nav at the bottom is hideous. Takes more time to nav through it than it does to search name of a skill. I'd possible 'vote' on the nav though, if spells were broken into categories (such as AoE, or high-damage high-recharge etc etc). Just my two gold. — Scythe 0:13, 27 Sep 2010 (UTC)
- The tier box is irreverent. Shows no relevant info at all, might as well leave it out until the game is released or more information is released on tiers and to stop possible confusion. The nav is out of the question, we have more or less come to a conclusion that it is awful, and just doesn't need to be their. Apart from that, it's fine :) --Naut 22:00, 28 September 2010 (UTC)
