API namespace[edit]
Hi, I've somewhat implemented your suggested edit. Fwiw if you want to get direct write access to any pages in the API namespace you can just stick a request on Guild Wars 2 Wiki:Requests for API editorship. -Chieftain Alex 18:04, 3 January 2021 (UTC)
- Thank you! I tried to find how many achievements are potentially missing and I have a list of over 1,000. That seems like a lot, so I need to verify which ones are actually missing lol. For now I think I'll not ask for editorship because I'm still new to the wiki and still learning the ropes/making mistakes. I'd prefer to have a better sense of what I'm doing before I start editing something a little more vital like the API. --Thecaligarmo (talk) 19:00, 3 January 2021 (UTC)
- Not including the 558 achievements without ids on the wiki (probably old festival stuff), removing the 82 duplicate LWS3/4 rearranged ids, + a bunch more for rearranged current events, it looks like the wiki has recorded 4251 achievements. So:
- Wiki documents 4251 achievements.
- API documents 3856 achievements.
- 3844 of those overlap (good), twelve are in the API but not on the wiki yet (bad, can be fixed by wiki editors: 2870, 2872, 2876, 2884, 2885, 2888, 3829, 4603, 5521, 5547, 5548, 5550), and four-hundred-and-seven are on the wiki but not in the API (white listing issue on anet's end).
- Achievements don't "unset" so when the whitelist was cleared, so later acquisition was obviously impossible for anything timegated onto LWS1 etc. The thing that puzzles me however is there are some non-whitelisted achievements amongst other whitelisted achievements in the exact same category. -Chieftain Alex 19:58, 3 January 2021 (UTC)

- Yeah, I'm assuming a good chunk are no longer around. I used Darqam's site to look up all numbers between 1 and 5550 that were not achievement ids according to the API and I tried to see which ones they have in their database. That's where my 1,000+ came from. It might be easier to talk on Discord for this, but is it possible to know how you're gathering this info? Like is it recorded somewhere or is there a way to create this info?
- I'm also a little confused as to the whitelisting problem. So the 407 on the wiki, but not in API. It sounds like they are not whitelisted which is why we don't have access to them. I don't know what you mean by "when the whitelist was cleared". It sounds like the whitelist was cleared a while ago meaning that nothing was going through, but for some reason any achievement that was removed from the whitelist can no longer be added to the whitelist? (is that correct?) I'm assuming the "non-whitelisted achievements amongst other whitelisted achievements" refers to the ones like the ones I had found? (5549, etc.)
- Another question I have is, if an achievement is taken off the whitelist, then how do we know if it ever gets removed from game? I'm assuming some achievements are removed from game sometimes. Is there a way for us to know when they're removed?
- Final question. If a user completed an achievement that isn't whitelisted, does it show up in their player achievement api? Or does the whitelist apply to both? --Thecaligarmo (talk) 00:41, 4 January 2021 (UTC)
- So I looked up the ids you said were not on the wiki (2870, 2872, 2876, 2884, 2885, 2888, 3829, 4603, 5521, 5547, 5548, 5550).
- 5550, 5548, 5547, 5521, 4603 are all currently on the wiki
- 3829 - is a hidden achievement and GW2W easy doesn't have a description. It's technically on the wiki though, but with no info. I looked it up, and according to le bus magique ( [1] ) you have to get 1st place in the "Dwayna's Duos" Automated Tournaments. Considering that le bus magique is an official partner of ANet, is that a worthy enough source to update the wiki? (since the API gives no info).
- 2870, 2872, 2876, 2884, 2885, 2888 - Are all "Course Work: Super Adventure Festival" which is in the wiki [2] as id 2861, but for some reason there are multiple ids? I'm not sure what's happening in this case.

Delete requests[edit]
Hi, you can add delete requests via {{delete|delete reason}}
. If it is for a duplicate file please add a link to the redundant image. Just plain text edits or commit summary does not provide a way for admins to find delete requests. —Kvothe (talk) 19:17, 26 March 2022 (UTC)
- Sounds good. Sorry about that Thecaligarmo (talk) 15:26, 28 March 2022 (UTC)
Thank you for your WvW grandmaster mark shard reward table[edit]
I was able to confirm that 2 tickets were dropped from T3 SMC defense with another player which seems to the oddity among the current distribution. --Life Infusion «T» 23:29, 19 February 2023 (UTC)
