Wiki event[edit]
I'm very interested whether the proposed date(s) would work for you. If not, please propose some dates to find out if there are any more ideal dates available. - Infinite - talk 21:49, 31 May 2012 (UTC)
Those brackets[edit]
Looks nice, code is a bit ugly though :D ^^ -Chieftain Alex 00:36, 13 May 2013 (UTC)
- Meh, not my code, lifting it from another wiki. :P --Sirrush 00:37, 13 May 2013 (UTC)
- its probably easier for others to view it by using something closer to the original template at w:Template:16TeamBracket. (admittedly has an extra column which could be cut out) -Chieftain Alex 01:11, 13 May 2013 (UTC)
- Can't say I disagree with you, I'll put that one up for now. It's probably best to hash out basic functionality etc. first before making it look pretty with custom css. (Although I'd like to keep using the Liquipedia brackets due to my familiarity with them. :P) --Sirrush 01:18, 13 May 2013 (UTC)

Tournament Templates/Formatting[edit]
Howdy! Really quick, I was wondering if a single-elimination 8-team bracket was already made? In addition to this, is there some sort of function that can hide these brackets so when a page loads it doesn't inhibit the user with a huge bracket? I'm trying to put together a page for an upcoming tournament and I already have a skeleton laid out, I just need the proper templates and values associated with those templates to make sure all is well. I'm also pulling the formatting from the Guild_Wars_2_Invitational page.--Kenigmatic (talk) 22:53, 25 September 2013 (UTC)
- Hey! Yeah, we have a 8SE bracket at Template:8SETeamBracket. As for hiding the bracket, I'm sure there is a way, but it is currently eluding me, and it doesn't help that we pretty much never use collapsibles on GW2W. Feel free to leave the brackets out in the open, and I'll wiki-fu them into submission for you. Maybe. Or else a sysop would surely know the answer. ;) --Sirrush 23:05, 25 September 2013 (UTC)
- Awesome, thanks. Additionally I'm partially concerned a bit. The templates look really good, but they also look like they came from someplace else (*hint hint* and I don't mean mistpedia :C) Aside from that, I have implemented collapsible portions before but I think they require extensions to be installed. What specifically I can't really recall. I think it also requires a bit of javascript to be added as well (I'm super rusty) I'll be putting together a really really rough outline of what I want the page to look like here shortly. :) Thanks. --Kenigmatic (talk) 23:13, 25 September 2013 (UTC)
- Haha, yeah initially they did come from somewhere else, but since then they've more or less been completely rewritten, it's just that the parameters never really needed changing. As an aside, I'm not great when it comes to wikis either, I just managed to cut and paste my way into a nice tournament page basically. I'm more than willing to help where I can (hell I think it's great someone other than me is interested in getting PvP content going), but for most wiki-fu related matters you'd be best off with someone else. Extensions and the like are completely beyond me, too. I want to say only Anet themselves can install those. --Sirrush 23:22, 25 September 2013 (UTC)
- :D Ballin. To be fair, I didn't know how to use talk pages until around 20 minutes ago so that pans out. You (ANet) might get solicited by the people in question about the GNU Free Documentation License but odds are you're fine. I'm just cautious because this happened to me haha. Alright, well I'm going to add a template or two to ensure this page works well (hopefully) and if anything, I'll edit around it. It'll be the page MLG Guild Wars 2 Invitational. I'm going to be creating it here once I'm sure it'll function as it should. --Kenigmatic (talk) 23:28, 25 September 2013 (UTC)
- Oh well, if Leaguepedia think they deserve credit they can jump high and low, that's not where the original brackets came from anyways. And yeah glhf! If you break anything just shove it behind the couch and pretend it never happened. ;) --Sirrush 23:31, 25 September 2013 (UTC)
