Origin of the Gods, according to me[edit]

The gods of tyria were once heros as the heros of GW1 are. They defeated the dragons and just as kormir took the mantle of Goddess of Truth, they took upon the power of the dragons and "banished them" to the world Tyria. Many years later abbadon gave magic to the races of tyria and the use of magic may have somehow sparked an awakening of the dragons. The gods seeing what abbadon had done, and knowing full well what the power of magic in all forms harnassed by one creature could do, split it into four sepperate schools. Why did they not remove the magic instead? The dragons awakening was already triggered and the gods knew now they would need new heros to once again help defeat the them.

I predict one of the GW gods will "die" in gw 2. Probably some self sacrifice BS line to make us "feel" it. Which one? I think Lyssa as highest possibility since she seams to lead/speak for them. The rest seam younger as less "wisdomed".Justice 11:01, 24 May 2009 (UTC)

I noticed your comment on this, careful ok? I admit, some users do get on my nerves sometimes but getting the last word like that really isn't nice --especially when you're comparing. its so uninteresting and so irrelevant it cannot even pass as trivia. guarantee they called this area ascalon except maybe a dev or 2 who decided to call it something else that did nothing to nickname it any better. Justice (talk) 23:55, 24 December 2016 (UTC)

Honestly, I like finding out what internal names for things are. They often show the progression of thought when it comes to how the game was made: their starting points, the possible directions they went, etc. Surprisingly, this trivia is also related to GW2, which tends to be a rarity ;) G R E E N E R 00:53, 25 December 2016 (UTC)
