If there is a problem with vandalism, and constantly reverting it is only adding spam to the RC, please make use of GW2W:NOTICE to let admin know. While we appreciate your quick actions, it may be better to have an admin step in and handle the situation in one move rather than give the children the attention they're craving by entering into a revert war. Armour Galleries

Just wanted to swing by here and let you know how amazing it is to see the armour galleries filled out. While you may not be the only one working on them, that last big upload set you did the other day really helped. Server

I've had 3 server crashes within the last hour. How do I fix this? Im pushing a higher end router to keep up with internet and gaming speed. Im getting tired of having to restart missions over. Chairs screenshots

Good afternoon o/

I've noticed that the pictures for quite a lot of chairs are missing. From the ones that lack pictures, I have:

• Bough of the Grove Chair
• Candy Cane Chair
• Club Chair
• Night Watch Stool
• Super Adventure Box Chair
• Chair (novelty)
• The Throne of Ahdashim

So I was wondering if there was some sort of guideline for how to take acceptable quality pictures, kind of similar to the guidelines for weapons, armor and such (which I'm not sure where I found last time). I suppose that the characters shouldn't have any armor nor infusions with effects on, but is there also a default spot to take pictures at? Other stuff I'm not aware of? Thanks in advance! Hey there, no worries, I'll try to be of assistance! To answer your question, we're currently lacking a chair meta, and as such a designated screenshot place, but I think you're spot on applying the usual guidelines for equipment images (no armour, no infusions, facing the light, daylight shots, neutral background, post-processing off, vertical sliders set to zero if applicable and adjusted to character height). From the top of my head, I'd either suggest taking images in Lion's Arch near the shore at Fort Marriner with a wall or water (if there is any such spot) in the back, or in the Lost Precipice guild hall. Maybe we can brainstorm a bit and find a more suitable location together. Hope this helps!

Inc having previously criticized your behavior in an adminly capacity and/or disagreed with you in a previous discussion does not rise to the level of a personal bias against you. If it did, no admin would be able to do their job for very long. On my potential adminship

Hey Inc, it sounds like we may have misunderstood each other a little in the discussion on high standards over on Tanetris's RfA, so I wanted to drop in an expound on exactly what my concerns are:

1. My activity levels on the wiki tend to fluctuate a lot -- sometimes I'm super active and involved, posting grand ideas to the community portal and drafting up big articles, and other times I barely touch it, logging in once or twice a week to do low-key maintenance edits for months at a time. I know myself well enough to know this behavior is unlikely to change any time soon, and I genuinely don't know if that's acceptable to the community. In my previous RfA, the voters seemed cool with it, but Tanetris's RfA has made me wonder if the bar is being moved higher.
2. I'm not ready to go back to Discord yet. I need to know if that's going to interfere with my ability to be properly involved in group discussions amongst the admin team, because I absolutely want to be part of the team.

As you can see, the actual difficulty and thanklessness of the role isn't what bothers me. In retrospect I can see how my use of terms like "intimidating" may have given that impression, though. I do understand why you don't want to romanticize the role, and I thank you for being transparent about it -- but I think it's possible to be both realistic and positive. Hey Idris, I'm not sure if I'm supposed to give you input, but I think I can at least answer concern number two, speaking from my own perspective:

I left the Discord a while ago and it's been fine so far. Users will reach out to you in different ways or interact more on the wiki, which is nice. As for admin discussions, sure it's a bit annoying to be out of the loop and you'll feel a bit like some kind of vigilant user with admin powers (I pretty much felt taken back to how things were when I wasn't an admin), but otherwise, you don't really miss out on much. Since admins are supposed to act individually for the most part and team decisions are not the norm (as far as I understood Greener), there shouldn't be any issues either.

Regarding activity... to me, it would be problematic and most likely give me grounds for opposition. But hey, that's just me. Who knows what other people think.

Also, I'm sorry again if I came across as abrasive. That wasn't the intention.

Positivity isn't my strongest suit, unfortunately. The bit I had suffered some with everything going on right now.

I just wanted to say that I'm aware we don't really know each other and as such are not familiar with one another's communication styles. So I just wanted to take the time to say that despite the fact that we hold different views on some things, my commentary to you on tane's RFA, is not intended to be a personal barb at you and has no bearing on my oppinion of you. I've seen your work here on this wiki and I can see how beneficial you are to its working and the community at large. I hold you in nothing but the highest regard and respect all the things you do for the wiki. I'm aware this was all probably an unneeded message, but I just wanted to touch base, as I remember how I sometimes lose my more personal way of presenting myself... when I get into a debate. My apologies for taking what you said, the wrong way. From how I interpreted your statement in the first instance, it seemed to be what you said, however in re-reading I can see that it can clearly be read a different way and I'll endeavor to work on that. I will say, I do tend to be quite oppinionated and I tend to throw myself into debates wholeheartedly; I genuinley don't mean harm by it, but that's not a way of me giving myself license to be a dick. I will endeavor to put abit more of my actual self into my posts with you going forward; as I gernuinley do enjoy debating with you. I've been familirsing myself with the wiki and its active user base of late, and have seen you to be an incredibly competent and helpful admin and user, who cares deeply about the wiki. I honestly deeply respect that and on a personal level you come across as a kind, considerate and intelligent person; who I personally like(to what ever degree one can on the internet) .

So, although I do intend to continue to debate points with you and I look forward to you rebutting my points forcefully, please know that none of that undercuts the regard I hold you in. I will however work more on how I interpret things and take the time to consider your points from more perspectives. Anyway, really and honestly... the very kindest of regards to you. Sorry. That was perhaps poor taste of me to upload over the top without initiating discussion.

If you feel strongly about it, I'm obviously fine with having my edit reverted mercilessly, however I did feel that the proposed image was an extremely saturated/vivid blue, and the current header background is ripped from the main texture of https://www.guildwars2.com/en/ (albeit with the wiki's #F3F3F3 versus #FFFFFF background), which is imo consistent. -Chieftain Alex 21:29, 14 July 2020 (UTC)
