I quite like it, but it also depends on what we sort out for a skill infobox. Hopefully however, that should be all the NPC information we need. Shadow Runner 11:08, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
- I agree, this is fine. As long as it fits in with other infoboxes. --Odal talk 11:15, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
- Why is that children of melendru colour so blinding?! Venom20 12:53, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
- It's just an example, and I've seen worse. :p --Odal talk 13:02, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
- I don't understand what you are saying odal. Are you saying that because this is an example we should ignore it? then what's the purpose of a sample? To see where boxes fit? Venom20 13:12, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
- That picture is fricking awesome.--Neil • 14:24, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
- Colour is the easiest of things to change & tweak. This is a sample of the general design, not specific bits. --Naoroji 14:28, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
- I was under the impression that when one designed something, the 'something' was to be looked at in it's entirety. I understand that things can be tweaked, and this is why people have input. Now, I think the design is good, and from the looks of things so do others. I was merely pointing out the contrast between the rest of the colours and the blinding green at the bottom. Also, the pic is indeed awesome. Venom20 14:39, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
- I mean that the colour can be changed at any time, we don't even know if there is a group called the 'Children of Melandru'. So yes, the purpose of this is to see if boxes fit. We can apply colours to specific affiliations later and change them as necessary. --Odal talk 15:37, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
- Of course we don't know if there is a group about children of melendru, this is an example and not official (see code in page, it is in there). I'm unsure if you have read the code, but adding another box is as easy as changing the colour. If I could offer a bit of criticism though, I think there should be a boarder around the number of the level. Currently, 20 just looks like it is floating there without bounds. Other than that, the structure looks great, IMO. Venom20 16:33, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
- I'm simply saying that box positioning and other is more important than colours at this moment in time. --Odal talk 16:39, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
- What else are we doing? lol. There is an interview posted every couple days with basically the same information. We've got another 5 weeks until the next profession is introduced. Perhaps we'll get more information next week about something to update. Colours are an important aspect to consider, look here, caution you may go blind ;). Also, I believe there was a great wall of text here about colours. I think this design is excellent, aside from the lack of boarder, but on the internet, visuals are a large part of what is being presented as well. This design may be one that is kept, and if so the next logical step would be to work on presentation after structure. After all, if the article is kept, then it will appear in shape and limited colour choice, on many pages. I apologize to Riddle that much of this discussion has nothing to do with the article, and I trust that further discussion will be directed to the article at hand. Venom20 16:49, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
- I simply saying that the colour is just a placeholder. I'm well aware about the discussion on the main page, I've tried to help contribute to it with my opinions, but the one here is most likely not even going to be used at all. It is just a placeholder. I'll try to end the conversation with my post in the same way you so cleverly did, trusting that further discussion will be directed to the article at hand. On topic, I like this infobox. It is sufficiently different to GWWiki's and still manages to look professional. I agree with Venom however on the need for a border. --Odal talk 16:54, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
- Much better with the boarder, IMO. I like the ideas of affiliations and services, it should make things easier at a glance. Is it possible though, to make the boxes a few pixels smaller. With that many objects, it may take too much away from smaller articles about less important NPC's. Venom20 00:01, 24 July 2010 (UTC)
