The Ranger has always been a favorite profession of mine, even back in GW1. Unlike other professions, the Ranger's pet is always ready to help, nothing extra to do. In the early days of GW2 I would primarily use bears or drakes, and their high armored melee attacks, to keep the bad guys off my Rangers, but lately I have switched to using devourers to double my ranged attacks and reduce the number of times I need to swap pets. The Syvari Ranger appears to be the weakest ranger of them all. While doing the LW "Jormag Rising" all Rangers had a rough time, but the Sylvari ranger was the only one to consistently be downed or killed. While doing the Wolverine Spirit quest, where you HAVE to defeat the Wolverine Spirit, she died and died and died. It wasn't until I used "Hunter's Shot" near the entrance, that it's attention became focused on my pet, that I was barely able to win, after being downed three times. --Enda - talk 22:59, 5 August 2020 (UTC)
