Biography

Terrus Shadowstrike's history began when a norn trading caravan passing through the Arcovian Foothills on its way to the Black Citadel was unexpectedly attacked by a giant plains wurm. One of the dolyaks bolted, and found its way to the nearby town of Nolan, where the cries of a baby attracted the attention of the local charr. They discovered Terrus, only six months old, stowed safely inside one of the injured dolyak's saddlebags. The charr immediately sent out a party of hunters to follow the dolyak's trail, but by the time they reached the devastated trade caravan, there were no survivors. It became evident that Terrus was now orphaned, so he was adopted into the Nolan fahrar.

Growing up in Nolan, Terrus was treated no differently to the charr cubs around him. He showed a proficiency for stealthiness, so when he grew of age he was recruited into an Ash Legion warband known as the Strike Warband, resulting in his name Terrus Shadowstrike. However, he began to grow restless, for as his warband travelled he became more and more aware that he didn't really fit in with the charr around him. Finally he made up his mind, and decided to leave his warband and travel to Hoelbrak to find his roots.

It soon became obvious that, thanks to his militaristic charr upbringing, he was one of the most capable norn warriors in recent history. This inspired him to participate in The Great Hunt, culminating in the slaying of the great wurm Issormir. Terrus took this victory to heart, as it allowed him to make peace with the death of his parents.

This began Terrus's journey as a hero of Tyria.
