“The Wizard’s Vault is a new streamlined rewards system that combines the best elements of the daily login and daily achievement systems, allowing you to play Guild Wars 2 the way you want to–whether it’s PvE, Player vs Player, or World vs World, or a mix–and earn a wide variety of exciting rewards for doing so.
Wizard's Vault[1] is a new streamlined rewards system available to all players, replacing the previous daily login reward format and its generic daily achievements.[2] Players will be awarded with Astral Acclaim, which can be exchanged for various rewards, including some Gem Store items[1]. Some Wizard’s Vault tasks and rewards are exclusive to Guild Wars 2: Secrets of the Obscure, but all accounts with a level 80 character will have access to the feature and the currency.[1]
Overview[edit]
- The rewards will be attainable through regular, normal play; there are no paid upgrades or progression skips, and the legacy section exists to take the time pressure off and allow players to catch up if they take a break.[1]
- Players will receive new objectives to complete daily, weekly, and with each quarterly release.
- These rewards will refresh on a quarterly basis, but any Wizard’s Vault–exclusive cosmetic[3] rewards will simply move into a legacy section of the vault, where they’ll remain available for the same type of currency indefinitely (at a slightly higher price than at their introduction[3]).[1]
- Gold, Laurels, and Mystic Coins can all be purchased in the Wizard's Vault for completing daily objectives.[4]
- Daily achievement points will still be available as well, earned by completing your Wizard's Vault daily objectives.[4]
- Players will always receive at least one daily quest in each selected category.
- If different players select identical categories and own the same expansions, they will receive the same objectives.
- Buying an expansion will display a different set of objectives immediately, not at reset. Objectives which you have done before the purchase will only count for the progress if they are present in your new objectives list, too. Some of the new objectives might be partially or completely solved - it seems the game tracks your progress in the background. If you have already claimed a daily or weekly chest before the purchase, you will not be able to claim it again.
- Wizard's Vault objectives can be tracked, they however replace normal tracked achievements in the UI.
- The Wizard's Vault has three sections:
- Objectives
- Astral Rewards
- Legacy Rewards

Upon the first activation of the Wizard's Vault, players are presented with a selection of gameplay options (PvE, PvP, WvW) for which they want to receive daily and weekly objectives. These options can be changed at any time but will only take an effect on the next refresh of the daily or weekly objectives. The selection of objective types will continue until changed. To change the type of objectives received, click the gear icon to the left of the Daily tab. Daily objectives refresh with the daily reset every day at 00:00, and weekly objectives refresh every Monday 07:30.
The objectives for each mode will be different between players depending on if you have the same modes selected. For example: if you have PvE and WvW chosen, your PvE objectives will be different to someone with only PvE chosen. If you both have only PvE selected and own the same Expansions you will have matching lists.
It is possible to have up to max 1,300 Astral Acclaim at any given time. Further Acclaim beyond this limit cannot be claimed until you spend some.

Legacy Rewards[edit]
Cosmetic rewards from previous Wizard's Vault seasons can be found in this tab for a slightly increased price (+20%). Previously purchased items cannot be purchased again from the Legacy tab.

Notes[edit]
- While players without the Secrets of the Obscure expansion can not visit the physical location of the vault, they can access all of the functions of the vault via the in-game menu regardless.
- Some of the Vault rewards can only be purchased if the expansion is unlocked.
- Prior to the November 07, 2023 game update, the daily completion chest granted 30 . The text for it still mentions receiving 30 .
- Despite having a fixed daily and weekly reset time, the vault actually requires you to zone into another map to trigger those resets for yourself.[verification requested]
- For research into possible objective cycles, see Wizard's Vault/research.
- Over the course of the 112 days (16 weeks) players can earn up to 22,195 , and 170 .
- There's some uncertanity to the number of days of the special period due to the low resolution of the in game countdown and previous changes to the countdowns behaviour. Assuming the weekly objectives change at 07:30 UTC, the countdown decreasing the amount of days remaining at 19:30 UTC and this 12 hour gap also applying to the special countdown, then assuming the special countdown decreases the time of days remaining at 04:50 UTC would have it end at a time of day of 16:50 UTC. The totals above assume it to end on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at 16:50 UTC+00:00.
- The Astral Acclaim total does not take into account Astral Acclaim earned from sources other than Wizard's Vault objectives, such as from the 100 Astral Acclaim service item.
- The Astral Acclaim total assumes that no duplicates in the objectives available will/have occur(ed). This includes both the case of one objective occuring more than once on/in the same day/week while allowing for claiming the reward of only one of the instances as well as the possibility of earning more Astral Acclaim than usual per day/week due to the objective completion status being reset for any reason.
- The Astral Acclaim total does not take into account any Astral Acclaim possibly carried over from a previous season.
, 113
- Total cost of all the exclusive cosmetic rewards is 4,775
- This includes the griffon skin, emote, 3 armor skins, 16 weapon skins, but excludes Legendary Weapon Starter Kit, which costs 1,000 .
.
- Total cost of all the limited rewards is 16,575
- This does not include the cost to purchase Sanctified weapon skins. 16 weapons would cost 2,400 , and would raise the total to 18,975 .
