Gloine's Story Summary[edit]
Hello, World![edit]
Levels 1-10
Starting from around the Grove, I reached Mabon Market, but Skritt drove me back.
Living Nightmare[edit]
Levels 10-13
I chased after a kidnapped Sylvari and messed with the Nightmare Court.
Far Away Lands[edit]
Levels 13-21
Wandering from the Grove, I reached Lychcroft Mere, but was driven back by Risen. I followed the road to Black Haven, then ended up at Garenhoff. There I acquired a souvenir (along with the bigger version). I hopelessly tried to help Nebo Terrace, then settled for exploring a bit of Queensdale, much to the displeasure of some portal-happy creature. I toured the rivers upstream to Shaemoor and downstream to Fort Salma, then went west toward the jungle. I ended the journey and returned to the Grove through the Wychmire Swamp, ending a menace and paying a payback visit to the Ruins of the Unseen on the way.
Through Space Itself[edit]
Levels 21-26
I chased after a Warden, then a Mirror; I got to know the Asura and their portals, and the Skritt and their shinies. I helped a little around Mrot Boru, Watchful Source and Skrittsburgh in between. I visited Metrica Province out of curiosity after being helped, and learned more about Asura and Skritt, as well as Lion's Arch trade practices. Finally I returned to the Grove to put the Mirror in better hands.
Lost in Contemplation (Snow, too)[edit]
Levels 26-31
Taking the gate to Lion's Arch was too tempting. I visited a bit of the city, then used another of the gates to Rata Sum. I tried many gates there, bothered many an Asura, and ended up wandering into Soren Draa and beyond. I spent a long time watching golems fight. Next destination was Hoelbrak (it is pretty tiresome to be cold all the time). I got a bit lost in the snow, but eventually crossed the Shiverpeaks and made it to Lion's Arch again. Mother had called while I was out there so I used the direct Gate to the Grove.
Risen to the Challenge[edit]
Levels 31-35
I got to use my own golems to end a Risen invasion at Overlake Haven! Then, I had to visit Lychcroft Mere again to learn about the past of the Firstborn who should have killed the Lich responsible for that attack. Some human child had stolen the weapon Mother gave him to win the battle, letting him to die. I challenged him for retribution and restitution. (Quaggan are more than meets the eye, by the way; also, I got to fight a golem!). The Lich I fought along the Durmand Priory, which won me membership in that order.
Nowhere is still Somewhere[edit]
Levels 35-41
On my first visit of the Priory I 'borrowed' some prototype portable gate. It worked but I learned the importance of setting a destination: I dropped on some Flame Legion Blademaster in Fireheart Rise. After much running I reached a Charr fort where I was able to help a little with menial tasks and logistics. Wandering here and there I eventually rallied the Shiverpeaks, where I heard of Caithe waiting for me in Lion's Arch. I have yet to learn to follow directions in the snow but hey, better late than never!
