Overview[edit]
Links and information on how to source gear for WvW gameplay
Please consider this a work in progress, it is by no means meant to be a complete list of every method available.
Many items require you to craft them yourself, as they are account bound. Other items are available on the The Black Lion Trading Company.
If you need to level a crafting profession, consider using www.gw2crafts.net for real-time best use of your resources.
Just a couple of links that encompass the totality, while the rest deals a little more with specifics.
Ascended Equipment[edit]
Sourcing[edit]
The best way for a WvW player to get ascended armor right now is the use of our skirmish tickets. It will require some time to complete in addition to materials, so start sooner than later.
First, you have to unlock each exotic armor item by completing the Triumphant Armor reward track in WvW.
This enables you to purchase the corresponding piece of Triumphant Hero's Armor from the Skirmish Supervisor.
In addition to the skirmish tickets, you will need to craft the following items to complete the purchase
- Heavy armor requires Grandmaster Armorsmith's Mark
- Medium armor requires Grandmaster Leatherworker's Mark
- Light armor require Grandmaster Tailor's Mark
- These items are time gated, only one of each can be made a day
In addition to using tickets, ascended gear can be crafted by the appropriate level 500 crafting profession
Trinkets[edit]
All players should be able to assemble a full set of ascended trinkets, as each requires only an investment of time. No material is needed.
The items available are back pieces, amulets, accessories and rings. Living World 3 saw the introduction of Unbound Magic as a currency. Through the introduction of six new PvE maps, we also got a map currency that can be farmed in each map.
Accessories and Rings are not allowed to be equipped unless they are unique. This means if you want to use identical items, they need to be using different stats. This is a hard rule for accessories. You will need one from Bitterfrost Frontier and one from Ember Bay.
Rings must not be of the same type and stats, unless you modify them. Rings can be normal, attuned, infused and both attuned and infused. As long as they are different in their modification level, they can have the same stats.

(1) Siren's Landing back pieces cost 200 Pearls and 315,000 karma, and are purchased from the Heart Vendors
(2) The number is double for the Bitterfrost versions
Stat Conversion[edit]
Many stat combination require the use of recipes that are very expensive. Many times, especially with the four-stat armor that contain Concentration or Expertise stats, it is much cheaper to make any of the other stat combinations initially, and then convert it to the desired stat in The Mystic Forge.
This method can be used to switch the stats on most ascended weapons and armor, if you are in need of different stats. This will happen as the meta shifts over time.
