Neil Shiaphin
Neil Shiaphin is one of the last surviving descendants of my Guild Wars 1 Characters Akim Shiaphin and Neala Kerr.
Background[edit]
Neil's parents died when he and his sister, Deborah, were children. They both spent the majority of their youth in Queen's Heart Orphanage, for they had no relatives to go to and no one would adopt them. The closest thing they both had to a family member was a mysterious crone who would come by regularly to see them. Although the crone visited them fairly often, she was unable to care for them due to her age. As Deborah became too old to stay at the orphanage, she was kindly "asked to leave" before being put on the streets. Neil would share the same fate a few short years later. This forced both of them to independently turn to groups of bandits in order to survive. Neither of them liked that option, but they didn't have any choice. The two of them always kept in touch, however they were not in the same gangs. Eventually, Deborah had a stroke of luck after being captured by the Seraph during a job gone bad. She explained her situation and was offered a undercover role to hinder operations for her group of bandits. She executed her task flawlessly, even keeping the nature of her work secret from Neil, and after several long and intense undercover operations, she was offered a position of the Screaming Falcons. Neil, on the other hand, was a different story. At first, Neil reluctantly accepted the gangs and was a valuable asset to them. He was very intelligent, nimble, was a fierce fighter and had a photographic memory. This made him and whoever he was working for (usually Two-Blade Pete) a force to be reckoned with. After several months of merely tolerating the bandits, Neil began to understand the leverage he possessed and started using it to his advantage. He stopped affiliating himself with Two-Blade Pete and started standing up for himself, his beliefs and others on the streets wanting to live upstanding lives. Despite the spread of his physical techniques among the bandits, no one could match Neil's prowess. His goal became to steer unwitting people away from the bandit gangs and help renegade members away. Neil sometimes even ran counter operations to combat the more malicious operations of various bandit groups. He was known by the Seraph and the Ministry Guard both in a good and bad light. Recently, Neil has been looking for a temporary place to stay in Queensdale as a result of increasing gang activity outside of the city.
