Universal upgrade

Universal upgrades are upgrade components that can be applied to any equipment, regardless of the item's type. In contrast, runes can only be applied to armor, sigils can only be applied to weapons, and jewels can only be applied to trinkets.

• Almost all of these universal upgrades can be gathered from chests and containers, depending on the level of character and location of said chests.
• Flora gemstones such as Flax Blossom, Chunk of Petrified Echovald Resin, Maguuma Lily and Passion Flower can't be found in chests.
