What I got on my ele after killing Zhaitan (still on the ship):

• 186,690 experience
• Berserker's Cabalist Hood (id #17037), lvl 80, rare, soulbound, light armor, 65 defense, [40 power, 28 precision, 28 ferocity]
• Bonus chest with 50 silver in it.
• Trait unlocked as soon as zhaitan went down.

If there were bags of loot then there aren't any in my inventory, I'm not seeing a pact weapon container or a hero's chest, despite my personal story log
