Template talk:Achievement nav
are the achievements in any order, or could we alphabetise them? -Chieftain Alex 16:57, 3 February 2013 (UTC)
- They are in order of in-game appearance, but alphabetisation doesn't seem like a bad idea, nevertheless. - Yandere 17:03, 3 February 2013 (UTC)
- As long as the order makes sense to someone then the order is fine ;) -Chieftain Alex 18:05, 3 February 2013 (UTC)
Lifetime[edit]
Is it really a necessity to add the lifetime part, I also think it doesn't look that good. Sjacie 12:51, 10 February 2013 (UTC)
- Basiclly it is not. My main proble with the nav befor is that I couldn't find anyfin because of the centering an te lack of structure. That why I added this. Now you have always 3 archivements in a row and you have a left flush which I find better to read. I am not totally happy with this. So I am open tu suggestions. - Yandere 14:27, 10 February 2013 (UTC)
- It's slightly misleading as some of the achievements listed under the Temporary groups are supposedly permanent, such as eating Owain's egg for the Southsun one. Most are temporary, but I don't think all are. Vahkris (talk) 17:13, 8 July 2013 (UTC)
- Special Events, Game Releases somthing a long the line. They update the achivement tab tomorrow so perhaps we will have a more 'natural' or in-game distinction than. - Yandere 17:24, 8 July 2013 (UTC)

- Yes, the categories in the new interface seem to be exactly what is needed here. —Dr Ishmael 17:50, 8 July 2013 (UTC)
Collapsible[edit]
Since this nav is constantly growing, I was pondering making it collapsible to make it less of a monstrosity. I did a mockup at User:Doodleplex/Sandbox#Test 6, and it seems to work fine except for if the historical tab get popped open the top part gets weird, not sure why it's doing that so still a work in progress slightly. Other than making it smaller, it also makes it easier to see stuff as it's less of a "wall of text". (edit) The other idea is to possibly just break it down into a bunch of smaller navs or something with the nav categories at the top so you can see the achievements for that section, and be able to click a link to get another section of achievements. Thoughts? - Doodleplex 23:25, 18 October 2017 (UTC)
- Seems like a good idea. My main comment would be that we should add some code so that a particular section will remain uncollapsed if it's added to the article for one of the categories within that section, similar to how {{legendary weapon nav}} works. --Idris (talk) 03:16, 21 October 2017 (UTC)
- I actually do have it set up that way, I'm just not sure why the historical part is causing issues with the top part if both are open at the same time. =/ - Doodleplex 03:18, 21 October 2017 (UTC)
- Ah, ok, I must have missed it in that big wall o' text. :P I've taken a look at the bug and I can't figure it out either. It looks really similar to another nav bug whose origins elude me: take a look at what {{adventures nav}} does on Refugee Supply Run and Skimshallow Cove Supply Run. Doesn't seem to do it anywhere else. Really weird. --Idris (talk) 03:52, 21 October 2017 (UTC)
