Necromancer? :O. No :(. I wanted new classes in GW2. Or this could just be a generally NPC. Who knows? :P --User: Blood StainBloodStain 12:22, 5 September 2009 (UTC)

What's the source for this information? --pling User Pling sig.png 16:34, 5 September 2009 (UTC)
Here's the source.-- Shew 16:40, 5 September 2009 (UTC)
I actually hope there are necromancers or something like that in GW2. I'm planning to do a sylvari necromancer. Hope there are going to be new classes as well :) Vihosa 14:53, 20 September 2009 (UTC)
No. --Super IgorUser- Super Igor logo.png 14:56, 20 September 2009 (UTC)
I hope that there are old and new, but still balanced. I don't care about amount, as long as they are balanced. But I do hope some of the classic ideas are kept (like Necromancer). -- Konig/talk 22:44, 20 September 2009 (UTC)
I'm expecting a form of Dark Mage (necro, shaman), White Mage (monk, healer), Elemental Mage, Melee Fighter (classic warrior), and Ranged Fighter (bow, spear) type classes, those are the standard and you virtually can't have an MMORPG without some form of them. User Rose Of Kali SIG.jpgRose Of Kali 21:21, 27 February 2010 (UTC)
As for the Sylvari, I hope the colour of their *skin* can be choosen to be very dark, if Necromancers still exist. (As long as it can't be blue, Avatar fans should go play the game of the film, lol.) - Infinite - talk 06:26, 28 February 2010 (UTC)

Trahearne[edit]

who is Trahearne?--IcyyyBlue ♥♥ 19:20, 23 May 2010 (UTC)

We don't know really. She (he?) is only mentioned in The Art of Guild Wars 2. --SirrushUser Sirrush sig.jpg 19:36, 23 May 2010 (UTC)
Oh well i need more info...--♥Icyyy♥ 04:54, 31 May 2010 (UTC)

Voice[edit]

His voice always reminds me of Simon Cowell --MageUser MageMontu sig.pngMontu 12:28, 7 September 2012 (UTC)

It sounds a lot like Matthew Brehner, who has done several audio plays for Big Finish, but I can't say for certain. --19:43, 3 November 2012 (UTC)

Traherpaderpa[edit]

Players HATE this character with a passion. He's Kormir all over again, but worse.62.159.14.62 11:15, 17 October 2012 (UTC)

I'm fine with him actually. I consider him almost essential to the personal story. You're gathering an alliance to take down the Dragon - do you really want your personal story to be 'I look at maps and plot logistics and talk with people', or would you rather leave that to some NPC, while you go off adventuring and doing the heroic stuff? Being a general is boring. Being the commander, at least you're his #2, and you're off kicking butt and taking names. It can be somewhat annoying knowing you're not 'in charge', but I've always considered being the second in command to be preferable to being in command. More room to move. Tashiro 15:44, 23 April 2013 (UTC)
You're not the only one who hates him, he's pretty much the least liked NPC in the game. I think the Elder Dragons have more fans than this Mary Sue. Brolteonix 09:19, 7 May 2013 (UTC)
Personally, I find his voice annoying and the fact that we do all the work and he gets all the credit. He's so "perfect" he has no flaws, no emotions, and never has anything bad happen to him.--108.31.140.115 05:25, 19 February 2015 (UTC)
Except that we don't do all of the work, and he doesn't get any credit except being the Marshal of the Pact. And "never has anything bad happen to him"? Aside from his bipolar depression acts, how about having an impersonator out to ruin his reputation and let's not forget him being on the main crashed aircraft just before HoT. Or how about how the ritual to cleanse Orr leaving him incapacitated for the assault on Zhaitan?
Please point out to me where he ever takes credit for the players' actions. I see this claimed all the time, but the only ever example people have managed to give me is for the name of Fort Trinity - which he, in fact, does not take credit for coming up with, just that he decided that'll be the name (which he does, he took our opinion, liked it, and decided to go with it). Konig 21:28, 19 February 2015 (UTC)
Finally! Thank you Konig! Finally someone amongst the herd of angry wanna-be chosen ones actually agrees with me. Why in an MMO would you want to be the big boss? It is just impossible. I just hate how everyone in the Living Story keep saying "boss", "sure boss", "if you say so boss". So annoying. Also, Trahearne didn't chose to be the Marshal of the Pact, it was chosen by the Avatar of the Pale Tree. He never take any credits for your actions, quite the opposite actually. He always thanks you for being by his side and helping him in completing his Wyld Hunt. Louise 1:32, 20 February 2015 (UTC)
While they seriously overdid things with making the player "special" in S2, I doubt that the biconics calling you boss is really that big of a deal. It'd probably be better if they each called you something else to make it feel more like a personal nickname than suddenly "you're the boss". You sound like the opposite extreme to these Trahearne haters. :P Konig 03:26, 20 February 2015 (UTC)
+1 Konig & Louise. Titus User titus the third.png 12:09, 20 February 2015 (UTC)
Not as many players hate Trahearne as you think there are. The ones that hate him are vocal, that's true. But the reasoning behind their hate (voice, assumption that he takes credit for everything) doesn't normally hold up under scruitiny (per as above). The vast majority of players I've asked about it are indifferent about him. And I've happened to have found just as many players that actively like him as there are active 'haters'. I just hope that the vocal minority of dislike isn't a big factor in this character's fate. ---- ᴥ GreyGhost (talk!) ᴥ 20:20, 3 November 2015 (UTC)
Given how the story went, I think he was. Players complained that they should get Caladbolg - they got it. Players complained they should lead the Pact - they got it. Players complained that Trahearne was bad and should die off - they got it. Players said they wanted to kill Trahearne - they got it. The vocal minority whined and whined and they got *everything* they wanted - to a degree (Caladbolg is broken with no pretty butterfly effects). Konig 21:47, 3 November 2015 (UTC)

Armor[edit]

Most of the NPCs wear armor that they players can obtain, but I have not been able to find his set of armor anywhere. If anyone knows which type it is let me know because I would love to buy this set.

This one is a mixture of the Sylvari Light Cultural sets. Shoulders: Tier1, Chest: Tier3, Arms: Tier1, Legs: Tier2, Feet: Tier2. Malhanjia, 20:02, 22 December 2012.

Spelling[edit]

Its spelled "Treahearne" in some missions. I don't know if that is noteworthy.--66.211.246.41 02:57, 13 May 2013 (UTC)

Lock page[edit]

I recommend locking Trahearne's wiki page due to HoT spoilers.

Please sign your posts, even if considered minor. Helps give a bit more context when a post was done is someone comes by a week later... anyways. There is a spoilers cut for the Heart of Thorns-related spoilers. That's a pretty big warning for anyone, and those who overlook warning and scroll are still kept safe. The only thing that should be discouraged for now is putting in any new images in the gallery. ---- ᴥ GreyGhost (talk!) ᴥ 21:44, 28 October 2015 (UTC)

Weapons wielded[edit]

Not sure where to put this but he appears to wield a Bandit Baton and a Hard Wood Focus prior to gaining Caladbolg, or at least in the battle of claw island story step. ~~Trevor95251 01:31, 11 October 2018 (UTC)

Liberating Apatia skills[edit]

He seems to use a different set of skills during the Liberating Apatia mission. They aren't yet mentioned in the skills section, but he appears to use Spatial Surge and Illusionary Wave. - Kirbman talk 01:04, 20 November 2022 (UTC)

Those are the skills he has while wielding Caladbolg, they are on the skills section. You can also see them here Caladbolg#Skills. Warming Hearth (talk) 10:45, 20 November 2022 (UTC)
