This meta event seems to be on a timer. I waited for it over an hour and it finally started 21:00 UTC simultaneously on many maps. It lasts for 20 minutes. --Jakolasku (talk) 21:06, 27 September 2017 (UTC)
We went at 18:00PM UTC with no event start, returned at 19:00 UTC and it started. Seems to be every 2 hours. 2.121.78.128 19:26, 1 October 2017 (UTC)
Cap?[edit]
Twice today, I reached 12 superior buried treasures found during the event. Then, the ping no longer worked, and there was no blue circle on the map.

- I tried to get as many Superior Buried Treasures as I could today and got 25 before the time ran out. Are you sure you didn't run out of Treasure Hunting Kits? Myriada (talk) 19:21, 26 July 2019 (UTC)
- While I haven't run this event multiple times per day, I usually have no trouble getting 20-ish boxes. I know the ping gets wonky when multiple players are pinging the same location, and a chest has already spawned. For example, I had it happen once where I grabbed a chest, and the locator only pinged once (when it is at least twice); I had to reenter the zone to get it working normally again. However, I'm still unsure as to the specific nature of events that trigger this. - Ojimaru (talk) 23:55, 26 July 2019 (UTC)
- Odd. Yes, I had kits left. That's the problem, in fact: I get the special skill, but it doesn't do anything when I click it.

- Now, it could have something to do with opening chests other people uncovered. That happened twice this time, and once the time before. It might mess things up. Next time, I'll log out and back in to see what happens. I suspect that will clear the issue, but …. Daddicus (talk) 17:45, 28 July 2019 (UTC)
