Efficiency[edit]

Here's a reddit thread that has some calculations on the most efficient ways to earn pips/how long it takes. Should this just be put in an external links section?

Reddit post--Rain Spell (talk) 13:05, 10 June 2017 (UTC) (late sign)

I can't see any value for the wiki in this post, we already provided all information that is needed (except maybe how many pips each minor tier has, or some other details). Regarding efficiency, it's not like there's much choice, either one plays and gets the rewards or one doesn't. Additionially most players wants the legendary/armor as soon as possible; since there's a weekly cap, again one will keep playing until the cap is hit. So in my opinion the wiki should provide the information where, how, when,... do I get my loot (=pure facts) but not what's the most efficient way, i.e. I think this doesn't need to be added. More Info on Pips needed[edit]

There is Pip gain at end of each 2hr skirmish match, need more info on numbers gains depending on varying degree of performance. So far noticed 25 pips for current 5pip/tic with won skirmish. The preceding unsigned comment was added by 110.175.241.56 (talk).

Pips are only earned at each tick, therefore also at the tick at the end of a skirmish. But that's the only way how to earn pips. At the end of a skirmish the recap window appears on the top of the screen, viewing the achieved pips in these skirmish, but does not add pips to the reward track. So I think there is no need for further information on the wiki page. --Tolkyria (talk) 18:08, 14 June 2017 (UTC)
Might be worth clarifying this in the article, though. I thought I was getting bonus pips at the end of skirmishes too, at first. --Idris (talk) 18:12, 14 June 2017 (UTC)
Tried to clarify it, see Earning pips. I hope this will cover your question. --Tolkyria (talk) 18:43, 14 June 2017 (UTC)

What are the effects of transferring worlds/servers on earning pips?[edit]

The wiki lacks comprehensive information regarding this. --175.140.149.143 11:33, 10 February 2018 (UTC)

Good suggestion! I've added that information to the notes section. :) --Idris (talk) 13:53, 10 February 2018 (UTC)

Quick question is Skirmish the name of its own reward track or the general name for all reward tracks?[edit]

just a little confused on how to get the tickets, which I dont quite understand the lingo of the wiki page. --Knighthonor (talk) 19:55, 25 October 2018 (UTC)

"Skirmish reward track" refers to the singular reward system that resets every match. A skirmish is a 2 hour period during a match and is what this particular reward system is named after. There is only one track in this system, not to be confused with the PvP and WvW reward tracks. It is basiclaly the WvW system of the sPvP's league reward system. Commander Pips[edit]

Are both Commander and Public Commander pips awarded, or are they mutually exclusive?

Icons[edit]

Most likely the skrimish pips icons will get changed on November 9th, see here. However, I never managed to asked Idris how they created the icons. As far as I know these icons aren't dat icon (the ones I found are only containing the upper part), while in-game the icons are overlaying each other and hovering them shows a tooltip. So did Idris took several screenshots, cut out the hovering tooltip and merged them? --Tolkyria (talk) 18:57, 21 October 2021 (UTC)

Nevermind, I thought that the tooltip was closer to the cursor. --Tolkyria (talk) 12:36, 22 October 2021 (UTC)
