Talk:Siren's Landing
Missing item[edit]
Waterlogged Chest. It's an ordinary chest, and fairly generous. Cynique (talk) 12:31, 26 July 2017 (UTC)
- But it isn't the same as the Waterlogged Chest in Swashbuckler's Cove... It's a low wide greenish cylinder. Cynique (talk) 13:19, 26 July 2017 (UTC)
- It's an Orrian Chest, or just your run of the basic chest that you'd find while running around. Though now it's possible to get a brighter picture of it since Siren's Landing is less gloomy heh. - Doodleplex 15:54, 26 July 2017 (UTC)
- OK, but it *said* Waterlogged Chest. Or memory's playing tricks again. Cynique (talk) 17:56, 26 July 2017 (UTC)
- You're correct on the name, I was just giving you the image if you needed it. =) - Doodleplex 18:04, 26 July 2017 (UTC)

Hopefully this is helpful if you want to start documenting events. -Chieftain Alex 19:42, 26 July 2017 (UTC)
- Isn't The Arm of Abaddon in Pilaster Rock? I mean it's dead center under the name of that area, so that's where I would assume it would be. Also where do you get these/I thought the API didn't have events anymore? - Doodleplex 20:53, 26 July 2017 (UTC)
- There's a vista and a point of interest, both called the same thing. Named vistas are new for this episode.
- The old v1 api (https://api.guildwars2.com/v1/event_details) still works and reflects the current state of the game, it's just rubbish to manipulate. See User:Chieftain Alex/API javascripts#Events. -Chieftain Alex 00:15, 27 July 2017 (UTC)
Map completion[edit]

Feedback 2017/07/28[edit]
At top right, it indicates there are only three vistas in the area when there are four as shown in the interactive map. --174.53.15.134 07:19, 28 July 2017 (UTC)
- That was because I wasn't sure in what area one of the vistas was in when I made the area pages. It should be correct now, so thank you! =) - Doodleplex 16:42, 28 July 2017 (UTC)
lava wurm event chain[edit]
I don't believe the lava wurm is linked to the two fountainhead events (capture the fountainhead and kill the escaped embers). Last time I did this the fountainhead was already captured during the lava wurm event chain and completing the lava wurm didn't do anything to the fountainhead. udas 00:19, 1 August 2017 (UTC)
Getting there section incorrect.[edit]
The second bullet under Getting there is incorrect. I corrected the word west to east. However, I can't board the ship, even though I've completed the missions for One Path Ends. I can talk to the Shining Blade Agent Bilman, but all he says is "Move along, please."
Is this a bug? Or, is there something special players need to do? Daddicus (talk) 21:28, 14 August 2017 (UTC)
- First, thanks for the directional fix, I have no sense of direction at all heh. As for the ship not being usable, since I've been gone for a week it is entirely possibly they changed it to be only for people on that story step, or perhaps if you've restarted one of the earlier steps for achievements it won't allow you to use the ship anymore. If it's the latter, that's an anomaly since I'm not sure if that would be a bug or not, but it is weird. I'll take a look once I get back home. - Doodleplex 21:34, 14 August 2017 (UTC)
- (Edit conflict) You seem to find all the weird bugs. Got a screenshot of your hero panel with the story step selected + scrolled down + your story ui at the right? -Chieftain Alex 21:36, 14 August 2017 (UTC)
- I tried it both with and without One Path Ends active. However, I can't find a way to get to that specific story step (short of playing through the first mission). The implication of the text is that, once you've completed the whole of Episode 6, the ship should be there. (It is.) But, the guard won't let you talk to him. He just does a background "Move along, please". I did report it to the ANet guys (in-game), in case it's an actual bug. But, I don't expect to hear back from them. Daddicus (talk) 21:45, 14 August 2017 (UTC)
- Doodle, since you're the one that added it, are you sure that's how it works? I tried it with a character that's completed the map/story, and I'm getting the same results as Daddicus. —Ventriloquist 23:12, 14 August 2017 (UTC)
- FYI, it's still not working.Daddicus (talk) 21:57, 21 August 2017 (UTC)
- Okay, I haven't been able to get my other level 80 toon(I need more character slots...oy) through to double check, but I can tell you that when I made the page, I had completed the story already and was basically using the ship to go back to Siren's Landing from LA because I didn't want to buy a Portal Scroll. Because of that, I'm going to guess that it's one of the following:
- if at any time you replayed a part of the story that takes place before you enter the ship, you can't use it again since it's an open world step which usually can't be replayed. I replayed some of the earlier parts for achievements and now I can't use the ship anymore.
- Anet changed it from when I used it last that once you finish the story you can't use it.
- My guess is it's the first part though, as I've not been able to replay through the whole story again yet, but that does make the most sense to me. - Doodleplex 22:29, 23 August 2017 (UTC)
- I actually tried it before I had turned the missions back on (and after). So, it's not #1. :( Daddicus (talk) 04:27, 25 August 2017 (UTC)
- Turned the mission back on? I think that's the same as number one, resetting the story will cause the ship to go away. I'll try to check again this weekend as I don't have bridesmaid duties. - Doodleplex 04:29, 25 August 2017 (UTC)

- Reset indent
- What I mean is that I went to the boat after I had completed the missions. When that didn't work, I tried restarting the missions. However, there's no way to get to just that story episode. Apparently, you have to play them all through in order? Strange. Daddicus (talk) 21:24, 1 September 2017 (UTC)
- Unless someone objects, I'm removing that entry. There isn't even a ship there any more. Just Shining Blade Agemt Bilman, who won't talk to you. Daddicus (talk) 21:58, 3 March 2018 (UTC)
- Feel free to move that note to the Trivia section, so we can remember the momentous occasion when a ship was able to sail safely around Orr... Okay, so perhaps "momentous" is out of line with the wiki's current style ; ). G R E E N E R 22:17, 3 March 2018 (UTC)

Residual Power effect[edit]
There seems to be no information/page on this effect. When is it granted? It increased my character power from 2130 to 2225 and condi damage from 85 to 180. It reads "There is a surplus of magic power in the grid. You've gained increased outgoing damage." Leaving the map (teleporting to Mistlock Sanctury) removed the effect, but I don't know if changing instances of Siren's Landing will do too. --2.203.47.241 21:10, 10 December 2017 (UTC)

Where is the shrine "vendor"(s)?[edit]
I encountered the merchant who gave access to the shrines, but only had six pearls at that point. Now I can't remember where the fershugginah guy is. :-/ I think It Would Be A Real Good Thing to indicate where to do this. The lack of waypoints in this map is mildly annoying, but the shrines appear to do something of that job. TIA!! --Obloodyhell (talk) 23:53, 19 February 2024 (UTC)
