Talk:Signet of the Beastmaster
I am completely confused as to the purpose (if any) that this trait serves. I'm obviously no understanding something about signets. I see that their passive effect does not apply while it is on cooldown; creating a nice balancing act for the palyer to decide when the best time to use it is. With that in mind, I wonder if this Major trait option allows the passive to continue to effect you after using the active effect. That would make sense, but the wording does not imply that in any way. It just says that is "also affects you". It already DID effect you (yourself). Do they mean, "also affects your pet" perhaps? To be hionest, this is one of many things I've noticed that I am the first to comment on, and I am surprised noone else was inspired to post when they saw this trait. Someone tell me whatever it is that I'm (most likely) over-looking. Thanks guys.
- If you look at the four ranger signets, their active effects all apply only to pets. With this on, the active effects affect you too. For example, Signet of Renewal:Your pet pulls all conditions from nearby allies to itself would become YOU pull all conditions from nearby allies to YOURSELF. Er, that's not a good thing, right? --91.197.129.74 08:48, 13 October 2012 (UTC)
Soo... for that one signet that causes your pet to grow larger and deal more damage, do YOU grow larger too? =P --Ying xiong 03:44, 15 October 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, and it's hilarious on a Norn =D --SargonTheOK 21:44, 23 October 2012 (UTC)
Signet of Renewal[edit]
I'm not quite sure but i don't think this trait affects the Signet in the way you would think. It doesn't mean you pull conditions from allies to yourself but the area that pulls conditions to your pet also is put around you meaning your pet can pull them from a greater radius. Since you have quite the range with a longbow, the intended weapon for this trait, this would mean you can cure melee's as well as ranged fighters. As far as my testing shows, it really works like that making this a powerful trait for support, not that i asume anybody will us it that way. Lou Wolfskin 06:01, 28 October 2012 (PDT)
Historical stuff vs. current stuff: Categorization[edit]
If a certain aspect of the game has become historical and does not reflect the current state, will it continue to be categorized normally? This trait for example, it seems it doesn't apply to ranger anymore as it's been replaced, but it still has its respective trait line category. Just a curiosity. – Valento msg 18:45, 30 September 2014 (UTC)
