- I did it though I died a dozen times and the last veteran ice imp seemed unbeatable: he kept becoming invulnerable after a couple of hits, until I smashed the Altar he had summoned near himself...--Zeros 13:54, 2 September 2012 (UTC)
- You don't have to kill the imp to complete this. Just draw Eir out of the battle and talk to her - it will end the mission. ***EAGLEMUT*** TALK 10:46, 6 September 2012 (UTC)

Hints to have an easier going[edit]
1) For the fighting against Imps and Elementals: As soon as you are in danger with health decreasing too much, simply get out of the green circle. None of the foes follow farther than the circle limit and the primary area lets enough free space around it for such backing up. Since both Eir and Garm follow you everywhere, they will be with you in safety. Everybody can then wait that health rebuilds and skills recharge before to return at foes. Repeat as often as necessary.
2) For the Veteran: Almost the same method with something even better. When he spawns, do not even start the fight. Just run once more out of circle, rather north-east side (jumping down the rock make it faster as the Veteran cannot pass it). Veteran and Imps do not go farther than circle, abandon you and back up to the centre. Slowly re-approach the circle, only as far as necessary to trigger that the Veteran is moving toward you. Wait for him, with the big advantage that the Imps do not come with it! So, you and your two allies are 3 against it alone and it is very much OK. Once done with the Veteran, go to the centre of the circle to finish the Imps that did patiently wait for your return...
The combination of those two "tricks" turns this primary into something quite fair.--178.198.34.57 15:24, 24 May 2013 (UTC)
Wolf pup[edit]
Just noticed when you go into Eir's Homestead at the start, Garm is running around with a black Wolf Pup in the garden. Super cute. Howellq (talk) 21:32, 16 March 2014 (UTC)
Kodan enclave[edit]
Just noticed Eir says the Kodan have an enclave near Hunter's Lake, but that's not true. There are no Kodan in Hunter's Lake, nor in all the Wayfarer Foothills. The story continues in the Snowden Drifts map, where we meet Followed by Night. Maybe a long long time ago there were indeed Kodan in Hunter's Lake but they removed them? Maybe when they decreased the difficulty of this instance? Otherwise that's quite a fail on Eir's dialogue
