Daily Limit of Nodes

I harvested 39 nodes in Draconis Mons with one character, and Draconis Mons being what it is, I certainly could have missed some. When I went back with another character on the same account, all of the nodes I had harvested with the first character were gone. I don't know if I hit the daily limit with the first character, or if nodes can only be harvested once per account. Later, I will see what happens when I harvest only 10 nodes per character. --Evilsofa (talk) 17:05, 29 April 2018 (UTC)

Today I harvested 10 nodes with one character, then switched to another character on the same account, and those 10 nodes were not there, so it seems that you only get to harvest each node once per account per day. This time, I went to places I overlooked yesterday, and found a total of 43 nodes, and I still feel I like I may have missed some. --Evilsofa (talk) 18:35, 30 April 2018 (UTC)

Another day, having a bit more experience exploring the zone, I found 48 nodes. I suspect there is a total of 50 nodes, but I just can't find any more anywhere and it's really hard to be sure you've checked everywhere in a zone like this. --Evilsofa (talk) 18:14, 2 May 2018 (UTC)

I second this opinion, I just harvested 47 Fire Orchid Blossoms (probably not that many nodes due to harvesting banner boost) with my main Ranger, using a GW2 TacO (tactical overlay) harvesting route. Now I'm running the exact same route with a spare Revenant, and every node along the route is no longer interactable; I can see the used-up nodes (twisted stumps with a few blossoms near the bottom) still in place as if my character has harvested them already. Guess it's only once per account per day. Regarding the next topic (sectional daily caps), even if there are sectional caps, they're probably still on the same timer, so if you follow a full-map-harvesting route like I did, a supposed sectional cap wouldn't affect you regardless. Nodes are in sections with daily caps

I've been told that the mechanic for daily caps on Primordial Orchid nodes is more complex than just "an account can only farm one node per day". Apparently there is an account cap for each section of the Draconis Mons area, so an account can't merely farm a single section with multiple characters. The borders of these sections may be difficult to determine. I'm not sure how to write this up on the page. --Evilsofa (talk) 13:33, 3 May 2018 (UTC)

Unbound Magic in home instance?

I am seeing consistently that I receive no drops of Unbound Magic when harvesting Petrified Stump, Primordial Orchid, Jade Fragments, or Orrian Oyster (object), but receive UM when harvesting Bloodstone Crystals and Winterberry Bush. Configurations that do not receive UM are:

• account with no expansion, and only a couple Icebrood episodes unlocked (no LW3)
• account that has HoT, but not PoF nor EoD, and should have all LW episodes unlocked, but has not played LW3
• account that has HoT, PoF, and EoD, but has no LW3 unlocked

Could well be related to the lack of Reaper of Magic, Ancient Mursaat Relic, and Unbound Magic Gatherer, but then why do the other two give UM? (cc other talk pages) Adeira Tasharo (talk) 19:51, 12 April 2022 (UTC)
