Bugs?

IMO, this challenge is seriously bugged - or I'm doing it completely wrong. In either case, I think it would be helpful if the page said something about the actual mechanics. Obviously it's not just "grab ingredient, throw it", but something along the line of "grab ingredient, make sure the path is entirely clear, make sure he actually stands still, throw and pray that the system registers you throwing the correct ingredient"...--Rejutka 22:44, 7 April 2018 (UTC)

This mastery point is incredibly bugged the issues I encountered: multiple ingredients not being labeled until the second and third tries, the chef calling for an ingredient and saying it is wrong quest fails right there because he will not accept the correct ingredient, chef disappears from the quest area, counter block throws, chef does not catch items even when aimed right at them, plucking Iboga petals causes an explosion that knocked me back, quest failed after two minutes despite the meter being a third of the way full, quest fails after going on for over 3 minutes, this quest is so dumb if I wanted a quicktime cooking game I wouldn't play an MMO (UTC)

But seriously, you could argue that this just simulates combat, but I can't tab target Chef Laraib, I have to mouse target him while moving and while under time pressure. Ingredient skills

My apologies if this isn't the right place for it- but it seems that the articles about the ingredients/ objects associated with this challenge (e.g. Cactus Meat, Marinated Shark Meat,...) are incomplete because of the missings skills. They all do have the same skills which are already shown on this page itself. Is there a way to deal with that? :0 Toki (talk) 13:54, 30 May 2019 (UTC)

Practice

If you have trouble with this mastery, you can practice the mechanic in the event Help Chef Mellitus prepare dishes for the festival (80) in Grothmar Valley. I tried this mastery a number of times over the years without success, then after doing that event a lot over the last couple months, I gave this another try and found it pretty easy. -- kazerniel (talk | contribs) 23:22, 9 October 2021 (UTC)
