Talk:List of non-set armor pieces
Whisper's Secret Light armour and similar?[edit]
Should we include the Whisper's Secret light armour set here? It has everything aside from a shoulderpiece, due to the headpiece skin acting as both a headpiece and shoulderpiece (using the headpiece hides shoulders). Perhaps there are other cases like this, in which case the question would stand for those too, just that I only know about the Whisper's Secret light set myself. Feedback 2016/09/04[edit]
Since similar items are listed, shouldn't Ad Infinitum and The Ascension be listed on this as well? 174.97.215.128 17:29, 4 September 2016 (UTC)
- No backpiece is part of an armour set, as stated at the top of the article. As such, it's better to just keep those at the Back item article. Xiphia (talk) 21:22, 9 September 2016 (UTC)
- This suggestion was valid before this article was split this week. These items have now been incluided on the [[List of back items]] page. -- Dashface 05:16, 10 September 2016 (UTC)
Feedback 2016/09/04[edit]
Some items that should be listed but are not:
Devil Horns - Cashshop, primary wiki page already exists. Glowing Green Mask - cashshop, primary exists. Lion's Mask - Cashshop, primary exists. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 174.97.215.128 (talk • contribs).
- Thanks for the notice, I've added them in. —Ventriloquist 20:06, 4 September 2016 (UTC)
Summary of this edit[edit]
As per the edit linked in the header of this section: I made too many changes to describe in the edit summary, so I'd like to leave a summary here:
- Removed breathing apparatuses as they're inherently standalone and have their own article.
- Removed backpieces, same as above.
- Tidied the appearance of various tables.
- Removed "still obtainable?" columns. My reasoning is twofold:
- The majority of previously unobtainable skins are now obtainable via Guaranteed Wardrobe Unlock.
- This article is already too prone to becoming outdated, and I feel that it doesn't need yet another detail for editors to keep track of.
I think that's everything. To be honest, I think this article could benefit from automation. Is there a "standalone" option for item/skin infoboxes? --Idris (talk) 18:44, 19 June 2017 (UTC)
- It may be possible to have the infoboxes default to "Stand alone" if we do not define them as being part of a set in the skin infobox. Then we could have the skins organized by their type. We'd lose the acquisition methods, though. G R E E N E R 06:24, 25 June 2017 (UTC)
Stone Summit Armour[edit]
(re: my reverted edit)
It would be helpful to list Stone Summit armour on this page. One reason being that it does not appear on List of armor sets, and there is no List of partial armor sets page on which to list it. Every piece of armour should be accounted for, either on this page or on List of armor sets.
There are also other partial armour sets which are listed on this page, namely Corsair armor and Hall of Chains armour. Corsair armour is arguably a more complete armour set as the only missing pieces have visibility toggle, and the Hall of Chains armour set contains the same four pieces as the Stone Summit armour set. Certainly if they belong on this page then so does Stone Summit armour.
For an even more extreme example: should Wurmslayer's (3 pieces) or Dragonscale (2 pieces) also be considered partial armour sets, and therefore be removed from this page? Derevyenot (talk) 05:35, 18 May 2020 (UTC)
- Hi. Thanks for creating the table. I agree with needing to list it somewhere, but I don't think Stone Summit is standalone armor. For example, the infobox on Stone Summit Helmet (light) states that it is part of the Stone Summit armor (light) set. Same for the other pieces. dJemba and I came up with the solution of creating a new section for Partial Sets on the List of armor sets page, which I think is a better fit. The other partial armor sets on this page will also be moved there (Corsair, Dhuum, Wurmslayer's, but not Dragonscale). --BuffsEverywhere (talk) 08:31, 18 May 2020 (UTC)
- Alright, that seems like the much better solution - particularly if any of the armour sets are completed in the future - so I won't be re-re-re-reverting my edit. Thanks for the response Derevyenot (talk) 09:36, 18 May 2020 (UTC)
