Talk:List of elementalist traits
Is it really productive to delete this thread and recreate it when GW2 comes out ? I don't think so... MadSkillz1o1 07:47, 13 June 2010 (UTC)
- I disagree with deletion, as you said, there's no reason to delete a page only to be created after the games release. Pointless waste of time. Eive Windgrace 08:54, 13 June 2010 (UTC)
Icons for Elementalist traits?[edit]
I wonder if there are any icons for the traits available (even if they have only the outline or shape for the basic traits of Minor Traits and Major Traits). Gorani 15:03, 25 June 2011 (UTC)
Attunement Traits[edit]
Are these traits only active while attuned to that element? I'm curious for many reasons, one of which being the mechanics for Glyph of Elemental Storage. It will be a less appealing skill if the skill carried over doesn't get trait bonuses in another attunement. Blue Phoenix 05:44, 14 July 2011 (UTC)
- Have you got any specific examples? I can't really see any. All of the attunement traits are specific to that attunement (bonus to water skills etc), or they otherwise provide generic benefits such as a resistance to stun. Weapon traits are skill specific as well. --Xu Davella 09:13, 14 July 2011 (UTC)
- I think Blue Phoenix is asking something like this: if you use GoES to store a water magic skill and you have Hydromancer (which makes water skills cost less), then would Hydromancer have an effect when you're attuned to a different element?
- To answer the question: I think you'll have to wait until they release the game to get a definite answer. Aqua (T|C) 18:01, 14 July 2011 (UTC)
- Very interesting question. Here's how I see it: so far I don't see many traits in the attunement line that augment the skills tied to that attunement (except for the additional damage one, I have no idea what the effect would be with GoES on that one). Mostly the traits involve effects linked directly to the attunement itself or passive effects while under the attunement. The effects that directly influence skills are tied to your weapon lines, and those affect your skills no matter what attunement you are under. It is still a good and valid question though since
- a) the damage trait is an attunement trait that does affect skills of said attunement
- b) we don't know all the traits yet by far
- In answer to the question itself, I have no idea :s. Guess we'll have to wait for the game to come out for that one.
- Wow that's one confusing paragraph. Hope I made any sort of sense 199.245.34.11 08:56, 15 July 2011 (UTC)

Phoenix[edit]
It previously had been in staff traits, when phoenix is a scepter skill. So I edited the page to reflect that.Headache 22:38, 13 August 2011 (UTC)
BWE2 update?[edit]
Shouldn't we create another column to rowspan the traits by tier? it would help a lot. - Valento 18:21, 12 June 2012 (UTC)
- This is probably the 5th time someone has commented on this. Yes, we know the table needs to be updated, but it's a very complex template and no one wants to take the plunge. I guess I'll have to get on it soon. —Dr Ishmael 18:30, 12 June 2012 (UTC)
- Wouldn't it be a lot easier to sort the adept, master and grandmaster traits too? As in first the adept traits, sort them by alphabet internally, then master, etc. It would make things a lot easier to look up I believe. --El_Nazgir 16:23, 14 June 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, it's being worked on. Geez! :P —Dr Ishmael 16:29, 14 June 2012 (UTC)
- Ah ok, didn't mean to rush you :P --El_Nazgir 16:52, 14 June 2012 (UTC)
Fractured Update[edit]
The trait tables need to be updated to reflect the changes to elementalist traits. Stone flesh now granting protection instead of toughness. -KitenMitens 132.170.137.62 22:29, 26 November 2013 (UTC)

- Waiting 6 hours for tables to automatically update is unacceptable! Employ someone full time to update them manually as soon as changes go live! =P -KitenMitens 184.88.58.21 01:51, 27 November 2013 (UTC)
- It shouldn't take longer than a minute after changes, more likely means someone updated the trait wrong! (Blame that guy)--Relyk ~ talk < 01:56, 27 November 2013 (UTC)
- Was being sarcastic.. But someone needs to read the patch notes before reversing a correct change. -KitenMitens 184.88.58.21 07:09, 27 November 2013 (UTC)

- to clarify, the table updates automatically once a "null edit" has been performed. You can do this null edit by: pressing Edit at the top of the page, scrolling to the bottom, and then pressing Save page without making any changes. -Chieftain Alex 15:01, 27 November 2013 (UTC)

Missing Mastery-trait on Air Magic[edit]
The Air Magic - table is missing the new trait Lightning Rod. Yullive 16:02, 24 April 2014 (UTC)
- Fixed. The page for the trait in question was refusing to set "is historical:N", which was causing the query to fail to find it. -Chieftain Alex 16:41, 24 April 2014 (UTC)
Missing Mastery Trait on Fire Magic[edit]
The Fire Magic section is missing the Master trait One with Fire, which I can't decide if it's simply stating the obvious or if the icon for it just slipped through?
I noticed the other professions are also in need of some attention and was wondering if there a source for theses images outside the game as I'd be more than happy to help get them added, or is it just some superb image editing? Lady Elyssa (talk) 17:41, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
- See User_talk:Dr_ishmael#Your_zip_file_containing_icons for One with Fire and you can download the icon archives from User:Dr_ishmael#Icon_archives--Relyk ~ talk < 17:46, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
- Somehow it didn't come out in Gw2browser as 64x64. But Stephane sent me and Poke a zip file of the icons he personally converted from the original Targa files, and it's in there as 64x64 (and I've uploaded it). Dunno what happened with the game texture. —Dr Ishmael 20:01, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
Feedback 2020/03/27[edit]
