For me it says "Finish the Skimmer Search Collection to unlock." 𼴠-- kazerniel (talk | contribs) 23:32, 2 January 2021 (UTC)
- Given that until this edit the page said so as well, I'm undoing the edit to the older version. Would be nice if someone else would be able to confirm as well though. DJemba (talk) 23:38, 2 January 2021 (UTC)
- Why would Jackal Treats be based on Skimmer Search rather than Jackal Reconnaissance? Each related collection is run by the person you get the mount from (and in their respective zone). Now given that I've completed the collection, I can't 100% verify, but this logic is why I made the edit. I assumed someone had just copied the Skimmer Search page and forgot to change the link. - Whoever copied the unlock text in the game made the mistake. The wiki just documents the game as it is, which includes mistakes made by ANet employees, while clearly marking them. I think the current state with the [sic] tag works well for both accuracy and informativeness. -- kazerniel (talk | contribs) 14:37, 4 January 2021 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) Yes, from what I see it's just an error with the description, then the {{sic}} tag is the proper way to document it as it is at the moment. Errors like that happen a lot in the game and they are kept in the wiki for documentation purposes along with notes to point that. I think it could be good to also put something in the Notes section like
Despite the description showing Skimmer Search, the required collection is Jackal Reconnaissance."
. Not everyone would hover that sic thing or even know what sic is for. ----Txonä Atan - (talk) 14:44, 4 January 2021 (UTC) - Oh and to see how "common" it is, check the Category:Text errors. ----Txonä Atan - (talk) 14:48, 4 January 2021 (UTC)
