Resurrection[edit]

These hidden jumping areas have no resurrection waypoints. All of the jumping puzzles are very difficult.Wraitheria 20:02, 8 November 2012 (UTC)

No res shrine is OK, IF the waiting for the monster to kill who opens the portal wasn't so long. I'm sitting here waiting now, wondering why I play this game. Mechanics that have people standing still are flawed. --Mooseyfate 06:37, 9 November 2012 (UTC)
I'm okay with both the long(ish) timer and the lack of waypoint. Makes it crazy nerve-wracking when you are up at the top trying to get the cluster of the sun! Then again, I loved the clock tower at Halloween too... The Alice 17:21, 15 November 2012 (UTC)
I'm sitting here dead waiting for someone to res me thinking this isn't exactly a good design at all. What is this supposed to test, my waiting skills? How little life I have? GJ anet.--86.28.147.193 00:08, 19 November 2012 (UTC)
This is a pretty unique type of puzzle where the chances you get are few and far between. It is pretty clear early in the puzzle that you need to make it count. I think it is nice to see uniqueness like this. For those who want quick respawns there are masses of areas for farming. Having said that being rewarded with two very un-unique items was pretty dissapointing. Even some of those elemental trophies

would have been interresting, if not useful. UBCToad 00:43, 25 November 2012 (UTC)

Entrance[edit]

Jumping puzzle + 2 goggles and all laced in area hidden behind events that spawn rarely and are sometimes bugged (don't spawn portals) . Wonderful -.- I did this twice in a day and the second time the chest was already opened and I could not get another treasure even though i had all the cantles. NOt sure if you can only do this once a day or not.

Shame[edit]

I died several times out of carelessness, and i returned to the Keeper of Light every time and never had to wait once. My deaths were less tahn 10 minutes apart. Y'all just like to complain about challenges. Its what makes you gamers; i know this cause i am one. You complain about failure of the world to rationalize your mistakes. And in the gaming world this silly argument seem logical. Most of you felt probably gripe when you fall yo your death in this puzzle, claiming: "the ledges/structures aren't accurately portrayed". No, you're wrong. Its just a little awkward and maybe even aggravating some times. If you don't want to be annoyed by failure soem times, then don't play video games. Or rather, you do not reserve the right to call something that does not challenge you "a game". Most of you probably dribbled a basketball, and maybe even attempted to get around an opponent while doing so. It as probably awkward, so you gave up, describing the sport as something that stupid people excel at, or "not a true display of skill/intelligence". If it is awkward or difficult, blame the ball, the wind, the opponent cheats, or simply label the game as inadequate for your superior skill/intelligence. There was once a day that gamers... were the EXACT OPPOSITE of this mentality. Other people picked up the controller and couldn't get comfortable with the strange sense of motor skills necessary to succeed. It was hard for everyone at first, but WE GAMERS pressed on and got around it. This is when we were young and powerful. This was a day when BEATING a game was something to brag about. If someone tells me they "beat" a game that was made after 2002, I just say "how long did it take you?" rather than the former question from the gaming glory days, "HOW?!", and sometimes even the incredulous "I don't believe you!". This was a day when beating something meant you had a particular set of skills that most common folk did not. So here we are faced with dealing with the consequences of our own failures, and I only see ONE type of comment amongst the AVID GW2 FANS of GW2 wiki. These aren't the casual tagalong players, these are the LEADERS of our community. All of you have one thing to say: "it didn't work out for me, so CHANGE IT so that it DOES start working out for me." It sounds like alot of game maker minds are being wasted on griping instead of making a game. Go pull out Source SDK, or a map editor and become filthy rich like the Dota guys, or the Counterstrike guys. Now you all cam here to bitch about a work of art and competition that doesn't suit you. Too bad. suck it up. Now me... I came here to complain about you. This is well worth my time, even if not one single reader reads it. The attempt that I make here is rewarding. Because I am one who atempts to raise the consciousness level of my species, and whether I succeed or not... I tried. If you all know the best way to make a game, go DO IT!!! and if you fail... oh well, you will be happier just having tried.

"Some day I dream of a game where the challenges and developer mistakes do not effect me, and I can experience the whole game without a hiccup or set back due to failure or game errors. I will not have to overcome anything, and the entire game will be nothing but flawless, pure experience. I will call this genre of gaming.... MOVIES!" ~ The Common 2012 gamer The preceding unsigned comment was added by SiderFace (talk • contribs) at 14:43, 26 December 2012 (UTC).

Dierdre's Steps[edit]

Dierdre's Steps needs to stop redirecting here and get it's own page as a separate area. I don't know how to change redirection, so I'll need someone else to do it or give me some instructions on how. Meridin talk 10:22, 27 January 2013 (UTC)

Personally, I think the jumps - though they are extensive - are not too difficult for people who have done jumping puzzles before. Most of the lower jumps are survivable for characters of the local level or higher. In addition, the puzzle is fairly extensive, and the idea of bringing a friend to assist, and provide rez if you oopsie... It's all quite sensible.

What I AM curious about, is 1> if i get one of the tokens and die, then come back later, will my token still be good? 2> if i get all four tokens and open the chest, can anyone in the area use it?

The spoiler alert is annoying[edit]

There's no reason to have the spoiler alert on this page at all, as solving this puzzle has no bearing on the storyline. The only reason for visiting this page of the wiki is to get advance information on the topic instead of discovering it yourself. That's the whole point of the wiki after all, and those who dislike spoilers simply don't come here, if they have any sense. Morgaine 22:57, 3 April 2013 (UTC)

People come here now for Pile of Elemental Essence in an attempt to make Mawdry. KatieBoom (talk) 07:15, 28 May 2017 (UTC)

Reward Chest[edit]

This thing does not award you with Empyreal Fragments, should this be added as a bug? It is a Jumping Puzzle after all and every other gives those out...then again, this JP has always been very lackluster with it's rewards giving out only 2 masterwork items, at least everytime i tried it. Lou Wolfskin (talk) 06:11, 19 September 2013 (UTC)

I just opened the chest and it gave me 3 Empyreal Fragments. I tried to screenshot but just missed it, but I can assure you it drops them now. Because we all need more of them . . . SammyB 22:33, 27 December 2013 (AEST)

Getting There - using gizmos from Legendary Weapon collections?[edit]

By doing the various collections for Kudzu or Chuka & Champawat, do you get any gizmos (or anything else) that allows you to teleport to the Hidden Garden in Mount Maelstrom?
If yes, what exactly are the ways of getting into the Hidden Garden? --138.75.82.239 15:51, 20 July 2018 (UTC)

As far as I'm aware, nothing that can directly teleport you there, unfortunately. —Ventriloquist 20:26, 20 July 2018 (UTC)

Can't you just use one of the Chuka gizmos to teleport into the tiger home, then exit the tiger home into the hidden garden? --138.75.82.239 01:47, 22 July 2018 (UTC)

Oh, my bad! You're right, the Baby Book item can teleport you to Hidden Garden (landmark) and from there you should be able to enter the Hidden Garden jumping puzzle. I'm assuming this from description and videos, so some information may be a bit off, though. —Ventriloquist 10:32, 22 July 2018 (UTC)

Feedback 2021/02/11[edit]

I was in the Hidden Garden and I have made Kudzu from the Collection. As a result, I have the Garden (obviously.) However, I had used my last sickle and didn't realize that I was without. I "harvested" four plants before I thought to check the sickle (thought it was bugged, something had changed and I'd missed it.) If you "harvest" and do *not* have a gathering tool equipped, you get Nothing. (You LOSE. Good day, sir. I said Good Day!)

Lotsa random noise in here lol[edit]

To open the chest you need 4 elements:

Earth is the easiest and in a cave under the tree Wind? Is a jump puzzle on the outskirts of the map - look up you'll see a branch reaching out - you need to get there and can use a mount to get there Light - top of the tree over the chest. Jump puzzle that starts at the base of the tree Water? - top of the waterfall in the distance - you can see if from the Light jump puzzle if you look around
