Boar meat drop rate[edit]

Wow. The meat drop rate from boars feels so much lower than other meats. Other animals seem to drop meat every kill while boars seem to at most drop it 10% of the time. VectorSomething (talk) 19:38, 27 August 2024 (UTC)

Gathering events[edit]

Boars have way worse drop rates for meat for some reason and and only some of the events drop Janthir Syntri Tokens, but I wouldn't really say those differences are substantial enough to split up the page. VectorSomething (talk) 04:04, 4 September 2024 (UTC)
For reference, the differences are the enemies and the objects, along with the other things VectorSomething listed. Not enough to split I think, agreed. Plus multiple of them happen in the same area, so the naming would be confusing. Sunlion (talk) 04:34, 4 September 2024 (UTC)

Different dialogue for each event[edit]

Although all these events are basically the same, they all have different NPC's with different dialogue for different situations, for example:
Being close to the NPC when they first spawn and event first starts.
Running to the event which is already on going.
Completing the event.
Running to the event which is already on going while the 10 minute counter is on before main meta starts.
Completing or failing the event which is already on going while the 10 minute counter is on before main meta starts.

That is true. It also depends what NPCs spawn for that event. Diferent Kodans or Astral can have diferent talk. And then if you put into the mix that there is also a chat if the meta will ruin that event. So many combinations and possibilities. --Daredevil icon (highres).png Sworly 19:33, 17 January 2025 (UTC)
Hey, and thanks for noting that there is way more dialogue that has to be documented for these types of events. Based on that, I did my own small research and thought of sharing my findings here since even after running around for a few hours, I still didn't fully fill all of the dialogue gaps. For the people who will be willing to contribute further, keep in mind that these notes are based only on my own experience and insight; it's not necessarily confirmed 100%, yet.
Runs and their quantities
  • ~30 min before the start of the meta:
    • Near Garden of Loetor ― 2
    • NE of The First Bloodtree ― 1
    • Near Cliffside Lookout ― 1
    • NE of Forager's Hunt Waypoint ― 2
    • East of Old Hutment Site North Vista ― 1
    • In Storm's Border ― 2
  • 10 min countdown till the start of the meta:
    • NE of The First Bloodtree ― 1
  • After the meta:
    • Near Garden of Loetor ― 2
    • NE of The First Bloodtree ― 2
    • Near Cliffside Lookout ― 2
    • NE of Forager's Hunt Waypoint ― 2
    • East of Old Hutment Site North Vista ― 1
    • In Storm's Border ― 2
NPCs I came across
  • Near Garden of Loetor: Astral Ward Skirmisher (Charr) and Astral Ward Protector (Norn or Human) ― always the same
  • NE of The First Bloodtree: Kodan Landspeaker x2 ― always the same
  • Near Cliffside Lookout: Kodan Stoutheart and Astral Ward Mage (Charr) ― always the same
  • NE of Forager's Hunt Waypoint: Kodan Landspeaker and Kodan Stoutheart OR Kodan Wildstalker x2 OR Kodan Landspeaker x2 ― changes
  • East of Old Hutment Site North Vista: Kodan Stoutheart and Astral Ward Mage (Human) ― always the same
  • In Storm's Border: Astral Ward Protector (Sylvari) ― always the same
Notes
  • Each event location has its own unique dialogue.
  • Some locations might not show dialogue in the speech bubble or chat upon running into the event (if you play with the sounds it is hearable tho).
  • In cases where the event spawns different NPCs (in my experience it's only at NE of Forager's Hunt Waypoint) ― dialogue doesn't seem to be different.
  • I would assume that the time when you do or approach the event might in most cases affect only the start/success/failure dialogue. However, for me, only one time (Near Garden of Loetor) did it occur that NPC had an extra line Upon completing one of the progress bars ― about 15 mins before the meta was about to start.
