Dead Lab NPC[edit]

Hi, nice work on all the images you've been uploading! Nice to have them on the wiki. And thanks a ton for those Gem Store history updates, good to have those documented. I'm curious where you found the Mistburned Iboga in Dead Lab, by the way; I don't doubt that you found one there, I'm just curious what obvious spot I missed lol. Sunlion (talk) 12:13, 18 September 2024 (UTC)

Hello, thank you so much! As per Dead Lab, I found one Iboga south of the Sanguine Crater Waypoint, really close to the border with Moldering Greenwood zone. But now since you asked, I went to that spot to check again, and this time I found Mistburned Warclaw instead, and it's only one over there, just like the Iboga was. I'm not sure if this is the case, but maybe Mistburned mobs over there appear randomly, and are not subjected to one type? Vysnaite 15:23, 18 September 2024 (UTC)
Very possible that they're random, I think I saw a Mistburned Warclaw and Mistburned Reindeer when I looked at that spot? I didn't include them because they seemed like they were on the other side of the area border File:Dead Lab map.jpg shows; didn't stick around long enough to check if they walked over onto the Dead Lab side of it, probably should have waited since it looked like they could cross it. Sunlion (talk) 15:58, 18 September 2024 (UTC)
The ones I came across were in the red area I marked here - https://imgur.com/a/mQxtpsr. I tried to stay for a few and kill the Mistburned Warclaw, then the Mistburned Reindeer spawned too, just as you mentioned. After several tries, I also came across a Mistburned Timber Wolf. As I noticed, they can spawn on either side or cross over the border. Not sure then, if it's better to remove them from Dead Lab's page, or maybe list the possible types of Mistburned mobs and then make a note section where it could be mentioned that it's not subjected to spawn only one particular type? Vysnaite 16:17, 18 September 2024 (UTC)
Leave it on Dead Lab's page I'd say; they can be in both without player interference, so I think they can stay. A list of what Mistburned can spawn there and a note explaining that spawns there vary sounds good. Sunlion (talk) 16:28, 18 September 2024 (UTC)
Alright, I edited Dead Lab page and added the notes section. Thank you for your insight! Vysnaite 17:11, 18 September 2024 (UTC)

Decoration infobox[edit]

Hi, please remember to check the ingame/API-listed binding of a decoration before changing the infobox; Scarecrow (decoration) and Ram Statue are account bound on acquire, whereas the bound parameter being set to acquire lists the item as soulbound on acquire. Also, the requires parameter should always go at the bottom of the infobox as per Guild Wars 2 Wiki:Decoration formatting. Sunlion (talk) 11:26, 2 October 2024 (UTC)

Hello, to update decorations' infoboxes I use the example that was provided in the project itself, to be exact - I was using Lion Statue. I made sure to check the API of the given example, and technically its parameters state that it's "AccountBound" and "AccountBindOnUse", exactly as your provided examples. From there I was quite of sure that it was correct, which is why I always used it as a reference. As for the requires parameter, I know that it should go at the bottom, but the current decorations I'm working on is from the Decoration/Guild hall/Festivals category, which technically Festivals on its own is a free to play content, so as for my understanding it doesn't have any. Sorry about the requires thing, think I got one of Tery3065's edits mixed up with yours since same subject matter. Your understanding is correct, sorry for getting confused. Fixed the Lion Statue issue, apologies if I was snappy there. Sunlion (talk) 12:43, 2 October 2024 (UTC)
It happens, I'm glad we have this issue resolved. Vysnaite 11:18, 3 October 2024 (UTC)

Removal of decoration ids[edit]

Hey there! First of all, thank you for updating all those decoration infoboxes <3

For some of the guild decorations you removed the item id stating that it is incorrect. Why do you think this is the case? Because while they might not be whitelisted in the items API, they are listed as the output id in the recipes API. For example, Reaching Twisted Tree's id returns no results here (items/101084) but is included in here (recipes/14040). Asuaka (talk) 17:41, 2 October 2024 (UTC)

I want to thank you for your work as well! And I think the removal is an honest mistake, as the ids as you said Asu do not show up in the normal API, so for someone who does not know where to look they would appear just as errors. We should probably add a hidden comment to these that the id's been taken from elsewhere. ~Sime 17:48, 2 October 2024 (UTC)
Hello, first of all - thank you both for the kind words. As for the ID removal - I'm still pretty new to the API "reading" and browsing, so when the API shows a response of "invalid input", just like ~Sime said, I would think that the ID itself is incorrect, or was changed to a different one for the certain "items" and wasn't updated in the wiki page. I did check the API articles itself, and it just mentions that there could be errors while searching/browsing, but nothing related to the possibility of items not being whitelisted. That's why I removed them from some of the decorations' pages. Also, so far I still haven't worked with any recipes and their API, so I didn't know that it's also a good way to check or search for the ID's in such cases. Thanks for pointing it out, I will fix my mistake and make sure to edit the pages I removed IDs from, as well as use this method for future editing/updating. Vysnaite 11:29, 3 October 2024 (UTC) ; Asuaka thanks for already editing and fixing those :) Vysnaite 11:47, 3 October 2024 (UTC)
No worries, glad we could clear that up! Thanks again for all your work :) Asuaka (talk) 13:11, 3 October 2024 (UTC)
