Bug That Resizes the Inventory Window[edit]
I reverted the edit removing a note about this bug. The IP is correct that there is a long-standing bug affecting the inventory window, but this recent update introduced a new one (or drastically increased the scope and severity of the old one):
- Original bug affected a few players; the new one affects nearly everyone.
- The original bug was confined to a specific set of circumstances (e.g. window went beyond the screen); the new bug happens every single time the inventory window is opened.
- The original bug resized the window once; the new bug resizes/reshapes nearly every time the window is opened.
I will rephrase the current note so that it is easier to see that the current issue with the inventory window is different from any previous reports. – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 20:30, 19 February 2014 (UTC)
- The original IP reported on my talk page that they aren't seeing this bug. So it's not as widespread as I thought. So far, everyone that I have spoken to is seeing this bug, it's been reported as new in the forums, and I thought I saw confirmation by dev team that this was a new issue (but I can't find that quote; I'll report back either way if found or not). I still believe that whatever is going on is much more widespread than whatever went on before, but perhaps the IP is correct in that it's a bug that only affects some people after some updates. (I had never heard of it before and now, I'm seeing it pop up in /map everywhere I go.) – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 20:44, 19 February 2014 (UTC)
- I can't find any dev comment (either poor memory or it wasn't on the forums), but there is a forum thread with over 5 dozen people claiming that they (and many that they know) are affected. So I think the evidence supports that this is a new issue (in scope and/or degree), but I accept the IP's evidence that not everyone is affected. I've updated the note to reflect that. – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 20:52, 19 February 2014 (UTC)
