Screenshot directory change[edit]
This update changed the destination of my screenshot folder. Not happy with that.. Karuro 17:24, 17 September 2013 (UTC)
- That's not very informative. What version of Windows do you have? And what did it change from/to? —Dr Ishmael 18:14, 17 September 2013 (UTC)
- WinXP. Changed from being in the same folder as the game to My Documents. I think Vista/Win7 uses that location (At least with GW1). Karuro 18:25, 17 September 2013 (UTC)
LFG[edit]
I wonder if when this LFG tool is released for everyone if the game will allow two parties of two to merge into one party of four. Currently, if you try to /join a party of 2 and you have 2 in your party, you get the message "The Guild of Party you are trying to join is full." --Kristofferus (talk) 22:59, 17 September 2013 (UTC)
- from this video yes that is possible it seems.- Zesbeer 08:37, 18 September 2013 (UTC)
Scarlet Invasion Notes[edit]
This update claims: "Fixed a scaling issue with Molten Alliance manhole gadgets." I'm assuming that the "manhole gadgets" are a reference to the tunneling devices. That being said, it used to be possible for just one person to run in and nuke a tunneling machine pretty easily. This is no longer possible. It seems that (perhaps unintended) the machines and accompanying Molten are buffed quite a bit even before the event should scale as the number of players attacking it increases. The tunneling machines have a LOT more HP and are surrounded by a number of Veterans, making completion solo infinitely more difficult if not impossible. Additionally, when our zerg ran upon the machine I didn't notice it scaling significantly (if at all) over the difficulty from when I approached it solo. I wonder if they meant for the device to scale in HP and mob size/difficutly when a zerg ran upon it, but instead it is just scaled up (and consequently buffed all the time) regardless of the mob size?
Thoughts/opinions/experiences before I open a forum bug discussion?
Also it seemed that on the Molten Wave that a set number of tunneling devices spawned and a set number of Molten Shamans spawned and that after killing the Molten Shamans (which of course we did first due to them being champs) that no more Shamans spawned for the remainder of the wave, even though we killed a number of tunneling machines. I kept looking for more Shamans after we completed each tunneling machine event, but did not see any more spawn, and eventually the wave ended with the destruction of a number of tunneling machines. Again, I have to wonder if this was intentional to limit farming and encourage wave completion, or if this is an unintended bug. What say ye? (Usaf1a8xx (talk) 13:45, 18 September 2013 (UTC))
- Pretty sure they don't have mechanics in place for dynamic scaling of objects.--Relyk ~ talk < 13:50, 18 September 2013 (UTC)
- They probably scaled up the initial health specifically to prevent them from being soloed. And it probably is getting scaled up for the zerg, but only at the rate of a standard non-ranked foe, so the zerg still tears through it quickly. —Dr Ishmael 15:15, 18 September 2013 (UTC)
