Updating the wiki before a release

I think it's great that ANet is finally publishing official release notes well in advance of updates. But this change to their old practice means that there's a good chance that people will want to update skill articles prior to the actual patch. Today, even though the release isn't available, the wiki is showing that the "latest release" is 23 July, when the most recent playable patch is a week older. Similarly, as of this post, Null Field has a recharge time of 45s, but the article already says it's 40s. For at least a few hours, people in-game will have the wrong information on some articles. And, as we know, ANet sometimes makes mistakes and a change doesn't make it into the patch as originally planned.

It's easy to handle the "latest update" issue by adding a link to the release notes in "news," but not putting into the "released" category until the patch is out. I don't have any suggestions for how to handle people wanting to update other articles early. 75.37.21.114 16:58, 23 July 2013 (UTC)
