Unintentional mistake had things working the way they should have all along. I actually found a couple, rather than going for weeks and not even seeing one. These things should not be rare. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 31.54.102.123 (talk • contribs) at 04:41, 6 November 2012 (UTC).
- I agree. But the last few days the droprate was ridiculously high. And they were worth up to 2.5 silver at the Trading Post. I gotta say, I made a nice amount of money just selling those dyes.--95.96.207.238 12:06, 6 November 2012 (UTC)
Chats[edit]
I've added a note that this disabled guild/whisper chat for certain players. 69.249.227.39 04:42, 6 November 2012 (UTC)
- initially it also removed all Guilds from my guild panel. This was fixed when going into a different zone. Also, I was permanently marked as Offline even after manually switching to online. I'm sad that the dye thing went away, I was having some fun farming for dye. Wasn't getting anything good or rare, but it's nice seeing that big hue of colors on my level 5. --Kristofferus 05:27, 6 November 2012 (UTC)
- I could see this being caused by the simultaneous maintenance more so than this patch. Is this problem still happening? — Burfo 14:39, 6 November 2012 (UTC)
Other Strange Bugs as well...[edit]
When partying up with 4 other people in Cursed Shore I've noticed that, on occasion, one of us would be shown as offline to other players and that offline person would seem like no longer part of the party. Strange thing is that they were not offline and we could still see them move around. This was fixed by that so-called "offline" person re-logging into gw2. Anyone else getting this bug as well? 72.70.7.157 14:04, 6 November 2012 (UTC)

Undisclosed changes?[edit]
If nobody bothers to disclose them, there's really no point in noting it. 16:30, 6 November 2012 (UTC)
- I known on Dragonbrand the Arah event chain was messed up. The waypoint/dungeon was uncontested but the door in front of the hallway leading to the dungeon portal was closed. After the patch everything was working fine, maybe it was bug fixes?173.69.23.64 18:32, 6 November 2012 (UTC)
I see they added 'Spirit Of Freedom' NPCs to Malchor's Leap as well --Drakesword 01:42, 7 November 2012 (UTC)
Authentication[edit]
They also broke the Google authenticator with this update. Despite having it enabled on my account it no longer requests a pin number to login. --86.18.162.202 00:16, 7 November 2012 (UTC)
- WAI (working-as-intended) according to MikeLewis --> http://www.guildwars2guru.com/arenanet-tracker/topic/243470-authenticator-bug-merged/#post23 --- Laibcoms (talk | Contribs) 00:26, 7 November 2012 (UTC)
- It works for me, same as it always did. —Dr Ishmael 01:22, 7 November 2012 (UTC)
Undisclosed Skill Changes[edit]
I have noticed that the necromancers 'Mark Of Blood' can now be cast while moving --Drakesword 01:42, 7 November 2012 (UTC)
UnID dye drop rate and impact on prices[edit]
This game has its own economist who looks at market prices (among other things) to make recommendations about game tweaks (for example, the experiment to use the Mystic Forge to dispose of excess supplies of butter). Although GW2W does not track prices (following the tradition set by GWW), ANet certainly does and it affects whether they choose to quickly patch something like an accidental change to the drop rate of a single item. In other words, although the wiki doesn't track prices, we should certainly note when market conditions are directly related to updates.
In particular, during those few days, the price of unID dyes dropped significantly as did the price of most other dyes (including Celestial). After the patch, prices have returned to the pre-Nov 1 equilbrium. In other words, there is good reason to compare the price changes to the patch, especially since ANet chose to release a patch in order to fix just this one thing, despite all the other changes people are clamoring for.
Accordingly, I reverted this edit which removed the note about prices entirely. 75.36.177.28 21:20, 11 November 2012 (UTC)
- The key problem I see is that this is economic speculation. First and foremost the wiki does not document speculation. Do you also believe that we should go back to each of the Halloween updates and speculate on how every single content change affected prices of individual Halloween-unique items? The task that you believe is the responsibility of the wiki is a rather large one from a long-term perspective. Any change in maximum level could drastically alter the prices of current-max level (80) items, any added area with exclusive skins could affect the prices of current high-demand weapons. Most likely a team of wiki-economists would have to be brought together specifically for the purpose of accurate speculation, which shouldn't be present on this wiki in the first place. -- MS 21:31, 11 November 2012 (UTC)
- It's not speculation if there's data backing it up - in this case, I'm guessing tools like gw2spidy provide those data. Also, I think the note about prices would be useful, since it provides context about the update that ANet felt was significant enough to mention in their update notes (and as 75.36 says, they pushed an update just for this). It doesn't have to be extended to every other item or hypothetical ideas like level-cap increases; note it when it's significant enough to note it. pling 23:03, 11 November 2012 (UTC)
- Observing that a change in supply affects the price of an item is hardly notable--Relyk 23:12, 11 November 2012 (UTC)
- I simply don't see how mentioning this is useful for documentation on this wiki. Nor do I see the invisible arbitrary line at which we stop mentioning this for any kind of content change. Nor do I see how speculation becomes fact once there's any form of evidence supporting it. -- MS 06:25, 12 November 2012 (UTC)

- I'm with Relyk - if the supply of an item increases, obviously the price of that item is going to decrease. Nothing notable about that. —Dr Ishmael 13:41, 12 November 2012 (UTC)
