"Chest guarded by a veteran south of Blighted Arch Waypoint (Malchor's Leap)"
You may as well say that there's a chest in Malchor's Leap somewhere... this says absolutely nothing, and the only veteran I came across didn't have a chest nearby. Better instructions, please. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 84.195.58.13 (talk) at 10:54, 24 December 2020 (UTC).
- It could be the one directly south besides the Balthazar Statue. —Kvothe (talk) 13:18, 24 December 2020 (UTC)
- Yeah there aren't any others afaik. Let's tweak the wording. -Chieftain Alex 16:38, 24 December 2020 (UTC)

Chest by the Conservatory in Waywarde Way surrounded by Earth Elementals. (Straits of Devastation)1
Whoever wrote this must assumed everyone has the same level of knowledge of the map as him/herself. This chest took me over an hour and I still can't find even one Earth Elemental near Conservatory. The only chest is right ON the Conservatory, guarded by awakened when contested. Also, that chest is basically impossible to get if the statue of Melandru is not under pact control, there will be constant damage to you in that area and interrupt the opening.
EDIT: Just tried another chest by the statue of Balthazar near Waywarde Waypoint (the one Southwest of the Conservatory, about 6,300 units away), which gave me the Gold Ball Ornament. Though I'm about 80% sure but can someone confirm if all the chests like this one drop the golden ball or just this one specifically?
- The entire page is just example locations for each chest type. Any chest of that type will do the job. -Chieftain Alex 23:46, 26 December 2020 (UTC)
Gold Ball Ornament[edit]
I received one from a final chest of "Defend Skrilla while she searches for treasure" event (Ember Bay map) while having "Aurora: Awakening" collection active. This event occurs on the sea shore surrounded by Karka, so it suits to item description: "He said something about corrupted wood and sea smells."
Polite request...[edit]
I personally DESPISE jumping puzzles, and it is truly annoying that they forced this to be the only way to accomplish this... Some puzzles are tolerable, but for the most part, they are arbitrarily obnoxious, and depend mostly on a blatant failure of the visual cues to actually represent/map to anything resembling the reality... It would be a great help if someone actually identified which puzzles are the least odious -- that is, which ones have the least amount of fiddly bovine excreta "do this thirty-seven times, maybe one of those times, you won't fall at this one ridiculous point..." TIA, if anyone does this for future reference. --Obloodyhell (talk) 11:35, 31 December 2022 (UTC)
