Lures[edit]
You don't equip a stack of lures. It is a single lure with an amount of charges, just like gathering tools. If it were a stack it's name would be changed accordingly to reflect that there are multiple.~Miss Lana (talk) 23:38, 2 March 2022 (UTC)
Fishing Power[edit]
Does FP really increase magic find for the fish? I've found nothing that says it does, merely heresay. --Sakimori (talk) 05:48, 4 March 2022 (UTC)
- In the hero panel-> fishing, hovering over the stat says: Fishing Power increases the chance to catch a fish of higher rarity, as well as increases the size of your marker when fighting fish.--Linkje (talk) 17:22, 4 March 2022 (UTC)
- It would be nice to include somewhere what fishing power is recommended for different zones and/or fishing holes. I wasn't sure if it would make the most sense to go here on this page with the list of fishing holes (maybe a table style), or on the Fishing Power page. Currently the Fishing Power page doesn't include a list of fishing holes, and I don't really think it ought to, so I'm inclined to suggest we add it here. Or maybe it does get added to the Fishing Power page, since then the different zones could be included too, for what fishing power is recommended for their open water (if any). I HATE FISHING; it is BROKEN[edit]
This is yet another design/implementation flaw in the expansion pack. Built like a Living World add-on, it has all the flaws of Living World. I've been frustrated for SEVERAL REAL DAYS with the FIRST quest and it requires fishing that doesn't ever work.161.97.246.51 02:54, 6 March 2022 (UTC)

Fishing nodes in guild halls are limited to 30.After catching your 30th fish all nodes will despawn. This resets daily. Per reddit post --Anzenketh (talk) 20:30, 25 March 2022 (UTC)

Maps, general information presentation[edit]
Every map page should list the fishing holes and fish available on that map, including what bait you need and during which times of day. Perhaps just a note about Open Water rather than listing all of those. Time and bait information should probably be on fishing hole pages too, rather than making someone keep a dozen fish page tabs open. There's just no good quick way that I can find to get a general idea of which fish are available where, and how to get them. 76.84.37.244 20:29, 10 May 2022 (UTC)
- I mean .. or you can use the bait page insted where you can see all the fishes what they enjoy the most during when and where. --DiegoDeLaHouska (talk) 21:05, 10 May 2022 (UTC)
- That's how a wiki looks like by design: lots of individual pages, however there's also the overview page list of fish which collects all fish in one filterable table and allows to gray out the related achievement for already caught fish. --Tolkyria (talk) 21:08, 10 May 2022 (UTC)
- We should remove the lists of gathering nodes from map pages, since we have gathering. 76.84.37.244 23:12, 11 May 2022 (UTC)
- Why? I think you are right with your initial suggestion that every zone page should list the fishing holes, for example see Dragon's End#Crafting Resources (many zone pages are missing those). --Tolkyria (talk) 08:58, 12 May 2022 (UTC)

Feedback 2022/05/12[edit]
Found this on reddit, It's not really sourced but I thought it was worth mentionning in the talk page at least:
"I ran into an ANet dev while fishing in Sandswept Isles and we got to chatting. They revealed that whenever the RNG determines that you've caught an Exotic or higher tier fish, but you're using the incorrect bait/wrong time of day etc., it will default to Sunscale Strikers (if it's day) or Moonfin Strikers (if it's night). That's why those two fish seem to drop at an abnormally higher rate compared to other World Class fish." Commander tag uses the same space as the red "!" marker[edit]
I'm not sure if this should be under the trivia section or as a bug, but it appears that the red "!" mark uses the same in game mechanic as the com tag as in you can either have the red "!" or you can have a com tag, not both. I've tested it in several locations with different raid squad, 50 man squad, private squad and in different maps, if you have a com tag active you would have to use one of the other cues to start fishing, taking off the com tag means the red indicator is back in place. - We usually put such observations in the Notes section (add the Notes section directly before the Trivia section), you can either use the templates {{anomaly}} or {{bug}} to wrap your text (depending how you would classify it). --Tolkyria (talk) 15:38, 3 June 2022 (UTC)
