I call foul play[edit]
And I thought they said we will not have this sort of stuff in this game... Platformer (Super Mario 64) meets MMO anyone?Yumiko ^,~ 00:29, 20 November 2011 (UTC)
- 'Sort of stuff' is vague, which makes it hard for anyone to address this comment. However, if I'm not mistaken, 'drowning' is entirely an avoidable state and its avoidance is not dependent on any unusual gameplay behaviors. There is no breath meter that needs to be refilled or any button that needs to be pressed; drowning is only another name for being downed while underwater. Does this help? - Stuff like air bars or having to come up for air or crap like that.Yumiko ^,~ 16:22, 20 November 2011 (UTC)
- wow yeah, who knew that you needed air to breathe? Venom20 16:30, 20 November 2011 (UTC)
- Once again: There is no air bar. The "drowning" state only happens when you take sufficient damage from enemies to hit 0 health. It is the underwater equivalent of downed, and can be recovered from in the same ways as well as just reaching the surface. Other than still being able to move around, having underwater skills, and recovery if you reach the surface, it is the exact same thing as downed. - Tanetris 16:59, 20 November 2011 (UTC)

Being Pulled Back Under[edit]
From what I remember from the BWEs, I seem to recall that a player who has successfully reached the surface can be pulled back underwater if they take further damage from enemies prior to recovering. I'm not 100% sure though, so could someone please confirm this? -- Snipes 12:22, 25 July 2012 (UTC)
- I can confirm that. Last stress test it seemed like if you are hit while regaining air on the surface, you always get pulled a little under the water. Just enough to let you swim around again. Illiander 12:44, 10 August 2012 (UTC)
