Bug report[edit]
I turned in a bug report on this quest. After trying it for over four hours, I noticed that the traps were active or inactive off & on. You could get by the traps and be killed by them while far away. (Ran past the fire jets to the coffin, only to die in flames at the coffin almost every time.) The sword's skills were intermittent. Mazdak's spawning of Risen went from one spawning per battle, to one right after another. And worst of all, with me and three to five NPC's, along with several seed turrets attacking, Mazdak only took damage maybe three out of five attempts.--Enda - talk 15:49, 1 September 2012 (UTC)
- I ended up rerolling the above (Ranger) character as a different profession, tried it again, and rerolled it again. I tried all three Orders as a Sylvari Ranger, then rerolled as a Thief and went with the Order of Whispers. All three Orders require the Sylvari to fight Mazdak, which makes this part of the personal story harder for the Sylvari than for any other race. This one, the Priory, is the toughest. The one for the Order of Whispers is the easiest, and the Vigil's is so-so. --Enda - talk 03:42, 19 January 2013 (UTC)
Torches[edit]
Concerning the torches: I have tried this quest a few times, so I'm pretty sure that only the "put the bones in the brazier" option works. The current info on "trying all the options" seems wrong to me. Disagree or agree? Linnea 21:04, 19 September 2012 (UTC)

Re-entering[edit]

"after finishing the quest and killing the accursed, player can re-enter the dungeon. now though it is different then during quest. the drake head against the wall have three on the first hall way. the first room has ooze that shoot water or wind slices, the third hall way has the same as quest. the second room floor is full of traps and two black oozes. the third hall way has the same trap as quest. and the room with the giant troll now has a champion black spider along with tons of traps on the floor. door to accursed room won't open. as for what is in little side tunnel where ancient bone is located at, don't know, got kill by champion spider." —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Hoang (talk • contribs) at 06:22, 2 August 2013 (UTC).
Mesmer clone trivia[edit]
It isn't mentioned anywhere but Mesmer clones have full access to Caladbolg skills if summoned. Tested with Mirror Images --GoingMenthol (talk) 11:07, 25 February 2022 (UTC)
