Renk's Lab

I was wandering around Renk's lab today and noticed that the ocean is completely blood red. Could this possibly be roughly the area of the Bloodtide Coast? I know it's speculation, but it sort of fits to some extent. (If we added it as trivia it would have to say "is speculated to be"...) It's way too vague to be put in, not even as trivia. Even if the ocean is actually meant to be red there in the lore, we don't know that the bloodtide coast has red water, or that the bloodtide coast is the only place to have red water (if it does). Anyway, trivia isn't for speculation, it's just things for things that don't have a place elsewhere in the article. Otherwise we'd have to have hundreds of different trivia bits in profession reveal which list possible sets of character classes. That would be horrible even if we put *these are speculation* before the trivia section. Thering 23:53, 15 December 2010 (UTC)

As far as we know, Bloodtide Coast is called such due to the corpses. Besides, based on this image, the water's red due to a sunset. Doubt that's the natural color. Why would it be red there anyways?

Chantry, explorer

Shouldn't it be noted at least somewhere on this page that this is the location of the Chantry of Secrets? And that the Chantry apparently counts as belonging to this area (in regards to Krytan Explorer etc)? Or did I miss something? :s 81.170.253.97 22:41, 23 October 2012 (UTC)

Infobox denotes that the Chantry of Secrets connects to here (technically, it isn't in Bloodtide Coast); the Chantry of Secrets article and related articles already (should) denote that CoS counts to Krytan exploerer achievement and for map completion - it is, IMO, unnecessary to say that the Chantry of Secrets count to them on this article, since this is not the Chantry of Secrets article. Momoztli Grounds

I changed the list of area's and whats inside it. The reason is that although from a lore perspective the heart and the broken beacon waypoint are in Momoztli grounds, the functioning of the map doesn't put them there. getting the PoI and filling in the heart nor talking to the heart giver doesn't unfog momoztli grounds on the map. So technicly these points are in Archen Foreland. Cause these lists are used to check the krytan explorer title (specially the ones with nothing explorable in it), it is better imo to put them in Archen Foreland.195.240.63.18 01:07, 13 November 2012 (UTC)

Priory-specific event? (Priory spoilers)

As I was running through this zone, near Mistarion Beach, I saw an event along the lines of "Defeat the Risen Commander to avenge Sieran", which sounds pretty specific to Priory characters. The Commander also /said "Don't worry, we'll plant you right next to Sieran!" and /pointed at me. UNfortunately I was busy so I didn't follow it up... Anyone else seen this? I did hear about such an event, but haven't seen it myself. Supposedly its a triggered event that only Priory members can trigger, but I have only one second-hand no-reference comment about that to back it up. Konig/talk 11:14, 15 December 2012 (UTC)

Part of Kryta?

Just because this zone is one of those that connects to Lion's Arch, I don't think it is necessarily part of Kryta. Geographically, I believe it to be part of the Steamspur Mountains. Even if not mountainous in themselves, they are at the base of the peaks. I read the Steamspur Mountains article and it states that "Bloodtide Coast, Sparkfly Fen, Timberline Falls and Mount Maelstrom could all be considered part of the Steamspur Mountains. However, this area does not fit the definition of a "region" and so only exists as map text.". How do the Steamspur Mountains not classify as a region? Can someone help me out here? I was browsing through the official GW2 BradyGames guide book and it says that Bloodtide Coast is indeed part of the Steamspur Mountains. It also states that the northeast corner of the zone connects to the very southern end of the Shiverpeak Mountains, meaning the Steamspur Mountains technically begin at the snow/grass border in Lornar's Pass. Everything north of that point is the Shiverpeaks while everything south of that point is the Steamspurs. God Of Fissures (talk) 19:22, 23 June 2013 (UTC)

That what we call regions in this wiki are all areas were the region specific archivements advance. Bloodtide Coast is part of Kryta because you can finish the Kryta Slyer archivment there. Lore-Regions are a totally diffrent cup of tea. - Yandere 20:31, 23 June 2013 (UTC)

Also maps API - each map has an assigned region. Search for Bloodtide Coast, it says "region_name":"Kryta". —Dr Ishmael 20:32, 23 June 2013 (UTC)
