Talk:Binding Blade
Fear[edit]
And people were angry about Fear manipulating player movement, I can see this being a LOT of fun in PvP; "GET OVER HERE!" *combo punch* Darke 17:10, 1 February 2011 (UTC)
- If you can use this to pull your target around after binding them I can see this being used to pull people off cliffs, or drag them back to a larger group where they get clobbered. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 66.230.87.99 (talk).
- As the guardian is quite frail in terms of raw survivability, I believe this skill has been designed exactly for that purpose; to snatch and draw the last few to-be-kiters to their not-so-very-subtle end. - Infinite - talk 11:53, 9 March 2011 (UTC)
- I wonder which skill would have priorty if this was used in a conflicting manner against another control like fear or water trident. The Jade Grue 01:43, 18 March 2011 (UTC)
- There's nothing frail about heavy armor and regular aegis :P I think this'll be more used to stop a thief spike on another player. Greep 03:02, 23 June 2011 (UTC)

sequence[edit]
I think I remember seeing this skill sequence into another skill after using it during BWE2, but apparently I missed screenshotting it. Did anyone else see this? —Dr Ishmael 22:12, 13 June 2012 (UTC)
- It probably does. It says that "Bound foes can be Pulled to you" which suggests that after hitting an enemy with the skill, it will change into a skill that Pulls the enemy to you. There's actually a lot of skills with undocumented chains, such as Impale. It's just something we'll have to deal with and try to take care of as best we can until the game actually releases. -- DrakeWurrum 14:02, 27 June 2012 (UTC)
- Impale (warrior)'s chain is documented - Rip. I thought I had caught all the sequence/toggle/chain/whatevers during BWE2, and I think this was the only one I missed. —Dr Ishmael 16:21, 27 June 2012 (UTC)
- Got it: Pull (guardian skill). —Dr Ishmael 19:28, 27 June 2012 (UTC)
Damage[edit]
The skill lists a flat amount of damage, but the tooltip states that it deals damage over time. Does each tick match the listed amount, or does the total damage dealt match the listed amount? -- DrakeWurrum 22:30, 10 December 2012 (UTC)
- From testing it just now it seems that the damage listed is only the initial hit damage. The damage over time isn't listed in the tooltip. The initial damage hit is scaled by power, the damage over time ticks scales by condition damage (tested by swapping out between bane signet and signet of wrath...bane signet improved the initial hit, but the DoT was lower, signet of wrath made the initial hit lower, but the DoT was higher) Nay the One and Only 19:49, 20 September 2013 (UTC)
Feedback 2016/12/22[edit]
It may be worth noting the damage from this skill doesn't proc the guardian's Justice counter for applying burn. I am unsure if it procs 'on damage' effects like sigil of air, or breaks stealth as it ticks.--72.188.29.122 02:54, 23 December 2016 (UTC)
