It really sounds like WH40K Space Marine's orbital strike call addapted to GW2 and Charr way to do things O.O Lokheit 00:19, 30 May 2011 (UTC)

- I'm just wondering what kind of railgun the Charr have to fire their artillery anywhere in the world. Thunderduck 03:58, 5 February 2012 (UTC)

- In another 250 years, the Charr might have developed Orbital Ion/Magic Cannons. XD - Zaxares 02:08, 17 September 2012 (UTC)

- Except that Magic is predominantly Asura specialization, Char tends to specialize on mechanical engineering.103.11.50.1 01:43, 30 October 2012 (UTC)

Ridiculous range for an Artillery things[edit]
Is it me or the range of this skill is incredibly ridiculous for what it's supposed to be : an artillery barrage. I have a pain to find it an efficient elit skill just by the fact you have to hug your ennemy/ennemies to being able to aim them with it. What the hell ? The ground targetting won't be allowed further than when the impact zone touch your own position. Artillery barrage ? Damn, an Asura can throw a rock further.... Logic, where is it ?... —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 90.58.193.95 (talk) at 12:05, 7 January 2013 (UTC).
- Not to mention it actually does 15 independent hits in 15 independent locations, and it is ENTIRELY possible to cast this skill and have it not hit a single thing at all even if the target is standing directly under it. 71.68.238.112 12:25, 1 February 2013 (UTC)
- Totally agree, this should not even be an elite skill in its current state, unless Anet is willing to A) decrease recharge time to about half, B) increase the duration and volleys of the mortar strikes, and/or (preferably and) C) increase the casting range to a standard long-range distance of 1,200. If this skill could be used to barrage a location for a decent period of time, it would actually serve a purpose, being much the same purpose that artillery strikes serve in real life -- preventing access to an area such as flanks or behind cover. As it is now, I use it on my engineer only because "it's cool" and you rarely see it. But it's honestly one of the worst elites in the game. It's like the elementalist's Glyph of Storms except with four times the recharge, half the range, none of the conditions, and none of the versality of attunements -- and Glyph of Storms is not even an elite. Really not sure what Anet is thinking with this skill's balance. 174.35.247.117 00:14, 21 February 2013 (UTC)
- You might wanna read on racial skills. They are designed to be considerably less powerful than their profession counterparts. Furthermore, article discussion pages are not meant for game feedback, etc. and are likely never to be even read by an ArenaNet Employee. You're better off posting any suggestions or such on the official forums. Mediggo (talk) 15:05, 28 May 2013 (UTC)
