Does adrenaline deplete outside of combat? It'd be kinda dumb to be standing around a city all hopped up in adrenaline without doing anything... it makes me think of rhoid-rage. Ivokk 22:40, 12 September 2010 (UTC)

I'd rather it not go away because it was annoying in GW1 going from one mob to another losing your adrenaline in between. - Giant Nuker 23:02, 12 September 2010 (UTC)
Well, no... I think it should deplete over time, not between mob-hopping. Ivokk 23:09, 12 September 2010 (UTC)
I don't think it depletes, maybe if you stay out of combat for a long time it will start to, but I haven't seen it deplete ever. Shadowed Ritualist 23:16, 12 September 2010 (UTC)
It quite clearly does deplete over time in this video: [1] ~1:30 --Emelend 23:05, 24 September 2010 (UTC)
That took a long time to deplete only a portion of it. A bit too long for my tastes. Nice find, though. :D - Infinite - talk 23:30, 24 September 2010 (UTC)
They should bring back the passive adrenaline bonus. With an increase of adrenaline should come an increase in attack speed as well.. seems kinda logical. --Eclipse143 04:30, 19 August 2011 (UTC)
Game balance logic hardly ever has anything to do with real life logic. Mediggo 07:46, 19 August 2011 (UTC)

Full adrenaline?[edit]

After using Earthshaker burst skill in this video, the warrior's adrenaline gauge does not empty. Is it possible to gain more than "full gauge" of adrenaline, though this does not improve the effects of burst skill but practically lets you store it more? Mediggo 13:09, 25 August 2011 (UTC)

I'm only guessing here, but recently, I've noticed a recharge on Burst skills, so instead of the adrenaline draining out once the burst skill is used, you keep all adrenaline you have but your burst skill has a rechage. I'll also assume burst skills before my speculated "update" didn't have a recharge.--Eclipse143 00:08, 29 August 2011 (UTC)

mechanics[edit]

I love warriors, I hate building adrenaline. It would be so much more enjoyable if it slowly refilled over time on its on. This way you could actually have full adrenaline before you even enter a fight and unleash it right away. This way you can still build adrenaline while do other things like rezzing fallen allies, putting out fires, repairing trebchets etc. --Moto Saxon 00:32, 29 August 2011 (UTC)

So gain adrenaline doing actions instead of just fighting? I could live with that. Maybe gain a third or half of the adrenaline doing other tasks as you would fighting in battle? (Though I'm sure the adrenaline still stays up while you're rezzing in battle) Why not slap this on the suggestions page? :D I'd be interested in seeing if they use it. 199.126.37.144 00:34, 29 August 2011 (UTC)
I used to like GW1 adrenaline mechanics better because it was different from the usual MMORPG Rage resource or whatever for warriors and berserkers. But there's a difference between building adrenaline by auto-attacking and building adrenaline by actually using attack skills. Adrenaline no longer fades in 20 seconds either, and it carries over to next fight easily. There's also skills which increase adrenaline gain, like Berserker Stance, but of course you know that already. Mediggo 04:40, 29 August 2011 (UTC)

Adrenaline Gain[edit]

I have not played as a war, so I'm not exactly sure what counts as an attack. I assume dealing damage counts or does there simply need to be an attempt made? Does each successful hit from a skill like Hundred Blades grant a strike? I'm also curious to know, if it is required to deal damage, would dealing 0 damage still give an adrenaline strike? -- Fey User Fey Zeal Blue Sylvari Tango.png 04:33, 12 August 2012 (UTC)

Depleting Adrenaline[edit]

I have noticed that my Sylvari Warrior shouts their various adrenaline lines not only when their adrenaline is increasing but also when it is decreasing. It is strange to be outside of battle and hear "I'm gaining adrenaline" and see my adrenaline draining. Has anyone else noticed this? 67.189.93.163 15:30, 18 April 2013 (UTC)

Yep, it's kinda silly. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 15:46, 18 April 2013 (UTC)

Clarity[edit]

I think the second sentence on the description of adrenaline needs to be re-worded for clarity. I play the game often, though not as a warrior, and had to re-read the sentence a few times to clarify what was being explained.

I suggest something like:

"There are three stages of adrenaline, and each attack made by the warrior in combat grants one "strike" of adrenaline. It takes 10 strikes of adrenaline to fill each of the 3 stages. A total of 30 strikes will yield maximum adrenaline".

Instead of:

"There are three stages of adrenaline, and each attack made by the warrior in combat grants one "strike" of adrenaline, equal to approximately 3.3% of the completely full adrenaline capacity. It takes 10 strikes of adrenaline to fill each of the 3 stages."

I think the first one is easier to understand. Stu (talk) 17:13, 5 June 2013 (UTC)

That seems like an appropriate change to me, go right ahead and make it. :) Felix Omni Signature.png 14:34, 19 June 2013 (UTC)

Stages?[edit]

I have a level nine asura warrior, and she only has one bar that is ten strikes. Do the other stages appear upon leveling, or...? The whole mechanic is rather confusing for me. TiffanySmith.8216 (talk) 22:33, 15 September 2018 (UTC)

By level 15 you'll have all your adrenaline - see Level rewards and expand the tables. -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 23:26, 15 September 2018 (UTC)
