Location[edit]
Dialogue[edit]
- Welcome to Ronan's Bower. This is the central meeting place on this level for children of the Day Cycle.[sic]
- (If sylvari)
- I wanted to hear Ronan's story one more time before I leave again.
- It would be my pleasure. Ronan represents the goodness in all beings. He planted the Mother Tree's seed and nurtured her.
- And he was human.
- True. One could easily say that our people live and prosper today because of the kindness of a human. Our Blessed Mother's roots entwine with the bones of his loved ones.
- His poor family.
- Yes. Can you imagine returning home to find your loved ones massacred by beings as evil as the Mursaat? I cannot. His grief was undoubtedly great.
- At least, after that, he gave up soldiering and settled here.
- May the sun shine warmly upon our Blessed Mother.
- May the sun shine warmly upon our Blessed Mother.
- (If not sylvari)
- Ronan? Who's Ronan?
- Ronan was a human who lived hundreds of years ago. If it weren't for him, the Firstborn might never have awakened.
- What did he do?
- He was a Shining Blade soldier. He once got separated from his unit in a cavern filled with strange seed pods, one of which he stole from vicious plant-creatures.
- Did he get home all right?
- Yes, but only to find that the Mursaat had destroyed his village, and his family was dead. In grief, he planted the seed on their graves and swore never to return to battle.
- What does this have to do with your people?
- The seed became the Pale Tree. We come from her, our Blessed Mother. Ronan befriended a centaur named Ventari. He is the one who carved the Ventari Tablet.
- I see.
- I understand.
- I've got other things to do now.
- This sounds like a long story. Good-bye.
- Thank you. Good-bye.
