Dialogue[edit]
- After receiving Valrun's mail
- You came! Apologies for the urgency and unexpected mail, but Valrun contacted me after detecting the egg you recovered. Making sure that they're hatched properly is vital to their survival.
- Why the interest in turtles?
- I come from a long line of Luxon turtle ranchers. Though our people have integrated and lost some of our identity, my family has held firm to our turtle traditions. We have weathered many storms.
- So what can I do for you?
- Let me have your egg and I'll see to it that the turtle hatches. It's a fairly...delicate process. Meanwhile, if you get me what's on this list, I'll make sure it grows up nice 'n strong.
- Sounds like a plan. (Completes the second step of the Stomping Around achievement and unlocks the Turtle Unlock: Starting Small achievement.)
- Rota: Well, first things first: looks like your little fella is primed and ready to hatch.
- Rota: See that wiggle? Somebody's got spunk.
- Rota: Right on time. Hey there, pal. Ready to bring ruin to your enemies?
- Rota: It'll take some time before they're big enough to carry you to battle, but they'll get there. Promise.
- I don't have time for this.
- Sorry, I need to leave.
- I have to leave.
- While working on either Turtle Unlock: Starting Small or Turtle Unlock: Getting Stronger
- Come back when you've gotten everything I've asked for. For the sake of the little one.
- Why do you need all this food?
- If you want your turtle to grow big and strong, it needs to eat as much as it possibly can early in life. Growth is essential, and their stomachs are, well...quite bottomless.
- That makes sense. Good-bye.
- What's that bot for?
- Oh, you mean Fidget? Turtles aren't the best eaters. Fidget will take your fish and grind 'em up into something the turtle can handle. When you have the food, take it to the bot to get the turtle fed.
- Why do you need all this food? (Same as above)
- That makes sense. Good-bye.
- I have to leave.
- After completing the Turtle Unlock: Starting Small achievement
- That was quick! Your turtle is growing fast. Take a look when you get a chance.
- What's next?
- That's quite enough produce. Good... Good! Your turtle is now big enough to handle a bit more protein. Get them some fish. And get a...wide assortment. They can be pretty picky at this age.
- Fish, coming up! (Completes the fourth step of the Stomping Around achievement and unlocks the Turtle Unlock: Getting Stronger achievement.)
- Rota: You'd be shocked how much they can eat at this age. Puts my wrestling days to shame.
- Sorry, I need to leave.
- What's that bot for?
- Oh, you mean Fidget? Turtles aren't the best eaters. Fidget will take your fish and grind 'em up into something the turtle can handle. When you have the food, take it to the bot to get the turtle fed.
- What's next? (Same as above)
- Sorry, I need to leave.
- I have to leave.
- After completing the Turtle Unlock: Getting Stronger achievement
- Well, your turtle has gotten a LOT bigger. It's almost...shocking how fast they can grow with a little bit of elbow grease and affection.
- Looking good. What's next?
- Let's slow down on the food for a bit. If you're going to hang with your turtle, you'll need a saddle. Get everything on the list, and we'll get one built for you.
- Sounds like a plan. (Completes the sixth step of the Stomping Around achievement and unlocks the Turtle Unlock: Suiting Up achievement.)
- Rota: The little one isn't so little anymore, eh? We can start gathering everything for their saddle next.
- Rota: You find me all the pieces, and I'll make you a real nice one. A real nice one.
- Sorry, I need to leave.
- I have to leave.
- While working on the Turtle Unlock: Suiting Up achievement
- Come back when you've gotten everything I've asked for. For the sake of the little one.
- What's the saddle going to do for me?
- It'll let you ride this big, shelled oaf! Who doesn't want to do that?
- That makes sense. Good-bye.
- I have to leave.
- After completing the Turtle Unlock: Suiting Up achievement
- Looks like that's everything. One saddle coming up.
- What's next? (Completes the eight step of the Stomping Around achievement and unlocks the Siege Turtle.)
- Nothing. Here's your saddle. All you need to do is keep your turtle safe, and it will be your best companion. Bar none.
- Sorry, I need to leave.
- Rota: All grown up.
- Rota: Raising the turtles is a proud Luxon tradition. Needs to be done right. With respect, patience. Love.
- Rota: All that work has earned you a lifelong partner. Take good care of them, got it?
- I have to leave.
- After unlocking the Siege Turtle
- You did a fantastic job, and your turtle looks great. Thank you for letting me be a part of their early life journey. It's always a joy to see them grow.
- It was my pleasure. Thank you.
