Researcher Elspeth Andryan is a member of the Durmand Priory stationed at Koga Ruins to assist sylvari and asura with local problems in hopes that they can be recruited for the fight against the Elder Dragons. She complains a lot about the annoyances of working in a swamp instead of a library. Unlike her partner, Researcher Lewin Frazar, she has a skeptical view of magic and mysticism.

Why Old Krytan?

It's the language of the druids. Although we know the glyphs, we've lost the ability to read the meaning behind them. I'm trying to reconstruct their ancestral language.

The druids are gone and so is Old Krytan. Why study either of them?
