Refinement

Refinement is the process of transforming crafting materials from a basic state into materials that can be used to create weapon and armor components. The refinement process takes place at the crafting stations appropriate to the item. Recipes for refinements unlocks automatically as you progress through crafting levels. More information, including specific uses and variations, can be found on each item's page. It's possible to refine basic materials at a rate of roughly 11.000 refinements per hour

Ingots are created by refining ores, except for three alloyed types (Bronze, Steel, and Darksteel) that require a lump of another material (Tin, Coal, or Primordium). They are used to create armor components (Armorsmiths); weapon components (Artificers, Huntsmen, and Weaponsmiths), consumable buffs (Artificers); storage boxes (Armorsmiths); and accessory components (Jewelers).
