Dialogue[edit]
- What do you want? Not like, in your whole life, what do you want, but just right now, from me, what do you want?
- I bet you've seen some strange things in the cemetery.
- Yes! I've seen happy undead, and I've seen nobles running around the graveyard!
- Happy undead?
- Yes! Affirmative. Confirmed. In the affirmative. Confirmative. Happy undead. Not the mean undead.
- I see...
- You don't believe me? I've seen it! They're just like you and me, and they don't even look undead. Overall, they're like us. But also not dead. Even though they should be.
- Whatever you say. I'd like to talk about something else.
- Nobles? Why would nobles run around the graveyard?
- Maybe the nobles are happy too? All I know is that nobles come at night and talk. They talk and other voices answer.
- What voices?
- The people in the graves talk. Listen. Hear them? Yep. I heard it, too. See? It's the voices of the happy undead.
- Have you ever thought about talking to someone?
- I am talking. To them. And I'm talking to you. Which means I am talking to someone.
- Right. I'd like to ask you something else, okay?
- You're doing a great job. The graves look nice.
- I don't really get compliments. At least not from live people. So, thanks. The graves like being clean. Not the graves THEMSELVES, but the people in them.
- I'm glad. They look clean. Can we talk about something else?
- I'll be leaving now. Good-bye.
- Good-bye.
Trivia[edit]
- Gravekeeper Dumpy is a reference to Dampé, a recurring character in Nintendo's Legend of Zelda series; notably the grave keeper in Ocarina of Time.
